According to the announcement made by the Gera Coin project team, the GERA contract suffered an attack at 2022-09-07 10:50 (UCT), resulting in GERA tokens being stolen and price deflation. As per the request of the project team, MEXC has suspended GERA deposits and withdrawals at 2022-09-21 07:30 (UTC) and will support the contract swap for GERA.

- MEXC platform will no longer support deposits & withdrawals of GERA tokens based on the old contract once the withdrawal is disabled. Tokens deposited to MEXC after the suspension will be renamed & displayed as "GERAOLD" on MEXC platform.
- Tokens based on the new contract still use the ticker of "GERA."
- Deposits, withdrawals, and trading for new GERA tokens will be enabled at 2022-09-21 15:50 (UTC).
For users affected by this attack, the compensation plan is as follows:
- GERA holders can get airdrops of new GERA tokens at a 1:1 ratio based on their GERA balances snapshotted at 2022-09-07 10:50 (UTC).
