MANILA, Philippines – Catholics commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, April 3.
They gather in churches to listen to a retelling of the Passion of Christ, honor the cross, and receive communion. Following the solemn service, traditional processions of images of Jesus, Mary, and Catholic saints are often held.
