On April 7, the day a ceasefire between the U.S., Israel, Iran, and Lebanese Hezbollah was unveiled, Representative Gil Cisneros filed a document revealing his latest trading activity, including both buying and selling one of the top war stocks of 2026.
Specifically, the Congressman first sold his older position in the technology and defense giant Palantir (NASDAQ: PLTR), then acquired up to $15,000 worth of the same equity on March 16.

Why is Representative Cisneros’ Palantir stock investment suspect?
Cisneros, who sits on the House Armed Services Committee, made the purchase around what now appears like the mid-point of the Iran war at a time when PLTR shares were changing hands at approximately $152.
The timing is also highly suspicious since the trade took place less than a week before Reuters broke the story that the Pentagon is preparing to adopt Palantir as a core U.S. military system.
While impossible to confirm for certain, it is possible the Representative was aware of the decision at the of the investment.

On the flip side, Palantir Technologies’ integration with the armed forces through platforms such as the Maven Smart System (MSS) was common knowledge even before the war started, and the equity recorded excellent performance since late February.
Palantir stock price performance since Iran war started
Indeed, on February 27, PLTR stock closed at $137.19, and it rallied 8.28% by press time on April 8. Notably, however, Palantir shares are down 1.90% in the daily chart, meaning they have crashed approximately 2.7% since Cisneros executed his March 16 trade.

Notably, despite the drop seemingly triggered by the Iran ceasefire, PLTR performed better since February 27 than the majority of traditional defense giants. Furthermore, its stock market fortunes might reverse yet again in early April, as Iran has already threatened it would respond to the extensive Israeli violations, mostly aimed against Lebanon.
