BitMine Immersion Technologies has accelerated its ethereum purchases again, adding 101.627 token ether (ETH) last week as it deepens its treasury strategy.
The latest purchase, worth more than $230 million at current ETH prices, was its biggest weekly haul of 2026 and matched a similar level first seen on 15 December.
As a result, the company now holds about 4,97 million ETH. That places BitMine among the few large treasury holders still actively accumulating ether while several peers have slowed or paused buying in recent months.
Moreover, the combined value of the company’s crypto assets and cash stands at $12,9 billion. Alongside ETH, BitMine owns 199 bitcoin and about $1,12 billion in cash and equity positions, including investments in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings.
The company is also expanding its staking activity. More than 3,3 million ETH are now staked, roughly two-thirds of its holdings, with annualized returns estimated at about $221 million.
That said, chairman Thomas Lee said the firm sees signs that the recent weakness may be ending. He pointed to ether’s rebound from early-February lows and its relative strength versus equities.
Lee also cited tokenization market demand and ai blockchain use cases as part of the broader case for continued accumulation. In his view, BitMine has maintained the same high pace of ETH buying for four straight weeks.
The latest move underscores a steady crypto investment strategy centered on balance sheet growth and yield generation. It also reinforces the company’s position within crypto treasury holdings, where the scale of accumulation remains unusual.
However, the pace of buying matters as much as the size. By pairing spot accumulation with staking, BitMine is turning its ether exposure into a source of income while keeping its core position intact.
In short, the company is betting that demand from tokenization, stronger price action, and ongoing staking returns will support its eth treasury accumulation approach. The result is a larger, more active digital-asset balance sheet led by ether.
