This year’s Labor Day just wrapped up, but for many recent graduates, the transition into the workforce has increasingly become an exhausting loop of uncertainty. For young applicants, facing automated rejections or dealing with impossible entry-level requirements can take a heavy toll on their mental health and confidence.

In this episode of Yappler, Rappler multimedia reporter Eirene Manatlao and community growth and development specialist Aidan Bernales dive into the stories shared by recent graduates in the Rappler community. The range of experiences is varied but all harsh: from being told by employers they have “proven nothing” to secure a role to navigating the bizarre experience of being interviewed by a robot.
