Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stepped into the limelight this week, unabashedly defending Donald Trump, making him the man of the president’s dreams, claimed MS NOW’s Ken Dilanian on Thursday morning.
Appearing on “Morning Joe,” the justice analyst told the co-hosts that Blanche, unlike his predecessor Pam Bondi, has shown he is more than willing to make the case for the president’s initiatives, not only before hostile senators, but also by sitting down with cable anchors and fielding their questions.

As part of a discussion on the so-called DOJ “weaponization” slush fund that Blanche has unabashedly defended, Dilanian pointed out to the “Morning Joe” co-hosts, “it's just so perplexing to hear Todd Blanche — he sounds so reasonable, doesn't he?”
“He's much different than Pam Bondi; He's not shrill, he's very slick. He answers every question. He sits for network interviews, but he is doing much, much more than Pam Bondi to sort of fulfill Donald Trump's deepest fantasies about how he can use the Justice Department to benefit his friends and allies,” he added.
“Todd Blanche, who was a federal prosecutor for nine years and who knows exactly what he's doing, is making these arguments, guys, and was Donald Trump's personal attorney — we can't say that enough,” he continued.
“So now you have this huge fund, and Todd Blanche is saying it's going to be these settlements will be approved by five commissioners that he appoints, who can be fired at will by Donald Trump,” he added before asking, “So does anyone think they're going to be independent? Now, Congress, of course, could weigh in here and could change this, could stop this from happening.”
