TLDR:

  • Shuffle Crypto notifies users after Fast Track CRM breach exposes majority of user data.
  • Fast Track hack affects emails and programmatic communications for Shuffle’s crypto users.
  • Shuffle warns users to stay alert for phishing and avoid sharing login details.
  • Platform investigates breach origins and explores ways to reduce third-party system risks.

Shuffle, a crypto betting platform, is alerting users after a third-party provider suffered a data breach. The incident appears to have impacted most of its users.

The platform is sending notifications and advising caution around emails and login details. Shuffle emphasized that security and transparency remain top priorities. The team is investigating the source and potential risks of the breach.

Fast Track Breach Hits Shuffle Crypto Users’ Data

Shuffle confirmed that Fast Track, a customer relationship management software, experienced a security breach.

Fast Track manages programmatic email and user communications for several companies in the gaming sector. Shuffle’s founder, Noah Dummett, revealed that the breach has likely affected the majority of its user base.

Users are receiving notifications detailing the incident and guidance on protective measures.

The breach reportedly exposed email addresses and personal information collected through Fast Track. While login credentials were not requested, Shuffle warned users that phishing attempts are possible.

Dummett reassured users that the platform will not ask for passwords or payments through email. He urged caution when interacting with unexpected messages.

Shuffle’s team is working to trace where the compromised data ended up.

Investigations will determine whether the breach involved external attackers or system vulnerabilities. The company plans to strengthen safeguards with third-party providers in the future. Users are advised to remain vigilant while the investigation continues.

Communication channels through Fast Track are being reviewed to prevent further exposure.

Dummett emphasized transparency, promising updates as new information emerges. The platform also highlighted the importance of security awareness among its users. Guidance on whitelisting emails was provided but noted as a challenging task due to email spoofing.

Crypto Security and User Precautions

Shuffle is urging its community to avoid clicking suspicious links or providing account details. Security recommendations focus on vigilance rather than system changes. Users should monitor their accounts for unusual activity and report concerns immediately.

The platform is evaluating additional measures to secure third-party integrations. Fast Track’s breach underscores risks of relying on external service providers.

Shuffle aims to implement more stringent checks to prevent similar incidents. Users are reminded to follow basic cyber hygiene and remain cautious of phishing campaigns.

The breach raises questions about data safety in the crypto betting space. Shuffle emphasized ongoing efforts to mitigate risk and maintain transparency with users.

Noah Dummett remains actively engaged with users, addressing questions on the incident. The platform continues to monitor Fast Track’s remediation efforts and external threats.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
