This week, we have a fresh crop of podcasts that are dominating the Spotify top 10 list, some staples, others that are new to the list based on interest in recent episodes. There is a diverse range to choose from here if you’re interested in what’s being listened to the most in America, and you can see if any of these interest you this week: 1) The Joe Rogan Experience– No surprise that Rogan is in the #1 spot here. His last episode has former CIA counter-terrorism officer John Kiriakou on the show, who was punished for being a whistleblower after speaking out about US torture. Not exactly his usual kind of guest. 2) The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett – Business guru Steven Bartlett has famed astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson on to discuss all things space, including Elon Musk, AI and SpaceX, and their role in shaping the future of humanity’s journey to the stars. 3) Mystery Mondays – Bella Fiori is talking about Michelle Young this week, covering the story of a mother who was murdered while her two-year-old daughter was still home, and left alone thereafter. 4) The Tucker Carlson Show – Carlson is diving deep into a 24-year-old story, the conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11, and alleged coverups of what happened that day. He says he uncovers the “strange facts and hidden intelligence” about it all. DES MOINES, IOWA – JULY 14: Former Fox News television personality Tucker Carlson speaks to guests at the Family Leadership Summit on July 14, 2023 in Des Moines, Iowa. 3) Mystery Mondays – Bella Fiori is talking about Michelle Young this week, covering the story of a mother who was murdered while her two-year-old daughter was still home, and left alone thereafter.

5) This Past Weekend with Theo VonAziz Ansari is Von’s guest this week to promote his movie Good Fortune. It’s not clear whether or not his controversial appearance in a Saudi Arabian comedy event will be brought up.

6) Crime Junkie – The murder this time around is of Destiny Jackson and Nazirah Muhammad, who were shot in their home in Indiana, a case that remains unsolved, but authorities believe they’re close, and are asking for help.

7) SubwayTakes with Kareem Rahma – I’m definitely tuning in this week as Rahma speaks to famed comedy, and more recently dramatic actor Jason Bateman in a 15-minute spot which dives into his personal life covering anxiety, drinking and dancing.

8) The Daily The New York Times’ latest episode discusses the wake of the Israel-Palestine ceasefire and the lessons learned from how all this went down in Egypt. Plus, a discussion about how much power the government shutdown has given Trump.

9) Good Hang with Amy Poehler – Well, look at that, it’s Aziz Ansari again! He’s really making his rounds to promote that movie, albeit I bet this interview will be a lot more interesting given that it’s with his former Parks and Recreation co-star, as we don’t see that too often.

10) Up First from NPR – NPR is still discussing the situation in Gaza, along with the government shutdown proceeding with no actual negotiations happening. Plus, the Supreme Court is going to take up a case with implications for the Voting Rights Act.

So, there you have it, world news, brutal murders, 9/11 conspiracies and Aziz Ansari. Take your pick, or keep scrolling through the list to find something else you might like.

(Photo by Nathan Posner/Anadolu via Getty Images) Anadolu via Getty Images Key Facts A near party-line vote squashed the effort to vote on a subpoena, with Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who is leading a separate effort to force the Justice Department to release more Epstein case materials, voting alongside Democrats. The vote, if successful, would have resulted in the issuing of subpoenas to JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing and Bank of New York Mellon CEO Robin Vince. The subpoenas would have specifically looked into multiple reports that claimed the four banks flagged $1.5 billion in suspicious transactions linked to Epstein. The failed effort from Democrats followed an FBI oversight hearing in which agency director Kash Patel misleadingly claimed the FBI cannot release many of the files it has on Epstein. Crucial Quote Dimon, who attended a lunch with Senate Republicans before the vote, according to Politico, told reporters, “We regret any association with that man at all. And, of course, if it’s a legal requirement, we would conform to it. We have no issue with that.” Chief Critic “Republicans had the chance to subpoena the CEOs of JPMorgan, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and Bank of New York Mellon to expose Epstein’s money trail,” the House Judiciary Democrats said in a tweet. “Instead, they tried to bury…
