In the landscape of digital transformation and sustainability, the United Arab Emirates once again confirm themselves at the forefront thanks to a strategic partnership between BEEAH Group and The Hashgraph Group (THG)

During the GITEX Global 2025, the two entities announced the launch of one of the region’s first decentralized digital identity (DID) solutions, marking a crucial step towards creating a secure, integrated, and privacy-oriented digital ecosystem.

IDTrust: the self-sovereign identity platform based on Hedera

At the center of this collaboration is IDTrust, the enterprise-level self-sovereign identity (SSI) platform developed by THG and powered by Hedera’s distributed ledger technology (DLT). With the support of the Hashgraph Association’s (THA) Enterprise Accelerator program, IDTrust represents an innovative solution that ensures secure and unified digital access to all entities of the BEEAH group: from environmental services to energy, from real estate to technology, and even healthcare.

The implementation of IDTrust marks a crucial milestone in BEEAH’s digital transformation journey, laying the foundation for a connected, reliable, and privacy-focused ecosystem. The project fits perfectly into the vision of the United Arab Emirates, which aim for increasingly smart and sustainable governance.

BEEAH Group: innovation and sustainability at the service of society

Founded in 2007 as a waste management company, BEEAH Group has rapidly transformed into a diversified group, active in five strategic sectors: environment, energy, technology, healthcare, and real estate. With operations in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, BEEAH stands out for adopting innovative and smart solutions aimed at addressing environmental challenges and shaping cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable cities.

Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO and Vice President of BEEAH Group, emphasizes:

A gradual and strategic implementation

The deployment of the DID solution will occur in phases. It will start with BEEAH’s internal operations, managing the identities of employees and partners, and then progressively extend to all the group’s entities and projects: from smart real estate communities to healthcare facilities, up to environmental services platforms.

In the future, a broader collaboration with government entities and city stakeholders is anticipated, positioning BEEAH as a benchmark for the adoption of decentralized identity in the MENA region.

The Vision of The Hashgraph Association and The Hashgraph Group

Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, highlights the role of the MENA region as a leader in the adoption of advanced digital technologies:

Even Stefan Deiss, Co-Founder and CEO of The Hashgraph Group, emphasizes the importance of the solution:

Security, Privacy, and Digital Authentication: The Advantages of IDTrust

The IDTrust platform, developed and managed by THG, uses quantum-secure encryption for identity verification, ensuring superior levels of trust and authenticity in credential issuance. Its applications are numerous:

  1. KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification
  2. Opening of bank accounts
  3. Secure sharing of medical records
  4. Demonstration of residence permits and property titles
  5. Academic certifications
  6. Digital driving licenses
  7. Employee authentication
  8. Access to e-government services

In this way, BEEAH will be able to offer secure, efficient, and seamless digital authentication throughout its ecosystem, promoting the digitization and simplification of processes.

A Rapidly Growing Market

According to data from Grandview Research, the global decentralized digital identity market was valued at 647.8 million dollars in 2022 and is expected to reach 102 billion dollars by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 90.3% between 2023 and 2030. The implementation of BEEAH is thus poised to become a regional showcase for identity systems based on Hedera, demonstrating how sustainable technology can open new opportunities for digital governance and innovation in services.

A Sustainable and Digital Future

BEEAH confirms itself as a pioneer in inspiring innovation and promoting sustainability, addressing environmental challenges through digital transformation and circular resource management. The collaboration with The Hashgraph Group and the adoption of the IDTrust platform represent a concrete example of how technology can be put at the service of society, laying the foundations for smarter, safer, and more sustainable cities.

Who are the protagonists of the transformation

  1. BEEAH Group: leader in sustainability and innovation, operates in UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, promoting smart solutions for the future of cities.
  2. The Hashgraph Association: non-profit organization that funds innovation and training programs, promoting the adoption of Hedera technology with a positive impact on environment, society, and governance.
  3. The Hashgraph Group: Swiss company specializing in Web3 solutions for enterprises and governments, committed to removing business barriers through technological innovation.

A model for the region and beyond

The partnership between BEEAH Group and The Hashgraph Group, with the launch of IDTrust, represents not only a milestone for the digitalization of the United Arab Emirates but also a replicable model for the entire MENA region and the global landscape.

The adoption of decentralized digital identity based on cutting-edge technologies like Hedera paves the way for a new era of digital governance, security, and sustainability.

Ukraine Gains Leverage With Strikes On Russian Refineries

The post Ukraine Gains Leverage With Strikes On Russian Refineries appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Screen captures from a video posted on social media on September 13, 2025. The video claims to show a Ukrainian drone strike on the Novo-Ufa oil refinery in Russia. Social Media Capture Earlier this year, peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine stalled, with some claiming that Ukraine had entered the talks with “no cards” to play. Since then, Ukraine has strengthened its position, launching a series of successful drone strikes against Russian refineries, eroding one of Russia’s most important sources of revenue. At the same time, Russia is pouring increasing resources into its summer offensive and strategic drone strikes, while achieving minimal results. This combination creates a financially unfavorable situation for the Russians and provides Ukraine with much-needed leverage for the next round of peace negotiations. Ukraine’s Strategic Strikes Against Russian Oil Refineries Throughout this past summer, Ukraine has launched a coordinated series of long-range drone attacks against Russian oil refineries, causing major disruptions to the country’s fuel infrastructure. Reports indicate that more than ten refineries were struck during August, shutting down about 17 percent of Russia’s refining capacity, or approximately 1.1 million barrels per day. Repeated strikes on the Ryazan refinery in the Moscow area and the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the Samara region disabled several key distillation units. Meanwhile the Volgograd plant in southern Russia had to suspend processing oil after a recent strike. Other refineries across the country have also been targeted. These attacks have continued into September, with additional facilities hit and many struck multiple times.
