Top 4 Cryptos to Buy as Altcoin Season Index Hits 67

The altcoin season index just hit 67. This shows that traders are switching back to high-upside cryptocurrencies and moving away from Bitcoin. Historically, levels above 60 have preceded explosive rallies across mid- and low-cap assets. This time, a blend of infrastructure tokens and meme-layer innovators is stealing the spotlight. Below are four cryptos to buy ahead of a possible altcoin season.

Little Pepe (LILPEPE): The Meme Chain Set to Lead the Next Altseason

Most meme coins rely solely on hype. However, Little Pepe (LILPEPE) stands out as the first true meme-focused Layer 2 network. This means it combines viral energy with tangible infrastructure designed for longevity. Built for the next wave of meme innovation, Little Pepe’s Layer 2 network enables lightning-fast transactions, zero-tax trading, and sniper-bot resistance. Hence, it is a safe and efficient playground for traders and creators.

This ecosystem includes a dedicated meme launchpad, where new community-driven tokens can debut safely. It’s a clever blend of meme culture and functional blockchain utility that positions Little Pepe as both a cultural movement and a scalable network.

Momentum is already building. The presale has raised over $27 million, with Stage 13 live at $0.0021 per token. This strong early participation reflects deep community belief in the project’s roadmap, which includes two top-tier exchange listings at launch and ambitions for a listing on the biggest global CEX soon after.

Beyond the tech, Little Pepe is fueled by a massive $777,000 giveaway, ensuring viral traction and rewarding early adopters. Another giveaway, which has garnered over 75,000 participants, will reward the biggest winners from stages 12 to 17. It’s exactly the kind of project that tends to shine when capital starts flowing into speculative altcoins.

With its combination of meme power, innovative tech, and confirmed exchange listings, Little Pepe isn’t just another presale. It’s a next-generation meme ecosystem poised to dominate as altcoin season ignites.

Ethereum (ETH): The Foundation You Can Rely On

Ethereum continues to draw institutional capital as it remains the base of smart contract infrastructure. Growing institutional conviction was shown by the $176.6 million in inflows into ETH-linked ETFs on October 6. Exchange supply is currently at a nine-year low, tightening available liquidity. However, the market crash pulled ETH below $400. Analysts do believe it can get back to $4,300 this month if momentum continues.

What gives ETH its edge is longevity, network effects, and developer dominance. As altseason intensifies, ETH often acts as a safe landing zone. It absorbs capital early, then radiates strength outward. While it won’t match the hyper returns of small caps, holding ETH provides stability and upside in the backdrop of speculative market rotation.

Solana (SOL): The High-Cap Anchor with Altseason Upside

Solana has been holding up impressively even amid recent market turbulence. It’s defending key support zones while showing relative strength compared to other large alts.  Its price currently sits near $188.73, down about 14.5% on the day. Yet it managed to hold critical price structure during a broader $590M liquidation event. On the fundamentals side, Solana generates serious revenue. It made more than $2.85 billion in annual revenue from October 2024 to September 2025.

In an altseason, SOL offers a balance: strong market pedigree, deep liquidity, and significant infrastructure upgrades. If capital begins rotating into bigger alts, Solana is well-positioned to absorb inflows while smaller alts are catching up. When SOL-based meme coins rally, it will add fuel to Solana’s rally, making it a promising pick.

PEPE Coin (PEPE): The Comeback Meme of Altseason

PEPE is one of the best comeback plays among meme tokens. PEPE has shown strength as it trades at 0000091 today. In recent weeks, whales have quietly bought over $5 million in tokens. This signals confidence ahead of a broader rotation into risk assets.

With liquidity deep across major exchanges and a loyal retail base, PEPE benefits directly from rising market speculation. During prior alt runs, it delivered triple-digit gains within days.

Moreover, with memecoins historically outperforming in euphoric cycles, PEPE’s low price and high trading volume make it a compelling choice. In this altseason, it could be among the best bets to take.

Conclusion: Position Before the Floodgates Open

With the altcoin season index nearing breakout levels, the next capital wave could start soon. Ethereum anchors stability. Solana adds speed and scalability, and PEPE Coin captures speculative energy. Meanwhile, Little Pepe merges meme power with real infrastructure.  Each represents a different entry point into the same rising tide. If altseason continues gathering steam, these four coins could define the next 6–12 months, rewarding those who acted early.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
