Japanese girl group XG has announced their second world tour, set to launch in February 2026 in Japan before expanding to Asia, North America, the UK, Europe, Australia, and Latin America. The tour follows the recent release of their debut full-length album in January 2026 and comes less than a year after the group concluded their first world tour.

Formed under Avex’s XGALX label by producer JAKOPS, XG debuted in March 2022 with the digital single “Tippy Toes.” The seven-member group — comprising JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA — has built their career on what they term “X-POP,” blending hip-hop and R&B influences with multilingual lyrics.

Despite being Japanese, all members trained in South Korea and perform primarily in English, a strategy that has contributed to their international reach.

XG: Building a Global Presence

Since their 2022 debut, XG has accumulated several notable achievements in the international market. The group became the first Japanese artists to top Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter chart and earned a Billboard magazine cover as the first Japanese girl group to do so. In November 2024, their mini-album “Awe” debuted at No. 3 on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and marked their first entry on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Their first world tour, “The first HOWL,” spanned 47 shows across 35 cities between 2024 and 2025, reportedly drawing over 400,000 attendees. The tour included a performance at Coachella 2025, where XG was the only Japanese act with a solo set at the festival. The tour concluded with a show at Tokyo Dome on May 14, 2025.

The group released their debut album on January 23, 2026, preceded by the single “GALA.” The album represents their first full-length project after three years of releasing singles and mini-albums.

XG: Second Tour Details

The upcoming tour will begin with an extensive Japanese leg featuring 13 shows across seven cities from February to April 2026. Venues include K-Arena Yokohama, Osaka-Jo Hall, IG Arena Nagoya, and Fukuoka’s Kitakyushu Messe, among others. Dates and venues for the international legs have not yet been announced.

Tickets for the Japan dates will go on sale November 1, 2025, through the group’s official fan club, ALPHAZ. The fan club operates on a tiered membership system, with paid members receiving priority access to ticket sales. Premium and standard annual members will receive first access, followed by all other paid membership tiers.

The announcement positions XG to maintain the momentum built during their first world tour, though the success of the second trek will largely depend on the reception of their debut album and their ability to sustain international interest in an increasingly competitive global music market.

XG’s approach — Japanese artists trained in South Korea performing primarily in English — represents an increasingly popular attempt for non-Western artists to navigate multiple markets simultaneously. Whether this model proves sustainable long-term remains to be seen, but the group’s rapid expansion from debut to second world tour in under four years reflects the accelerated timeline of modern pop acts building global audiences.
