Wave at strangers. Greet the barista. Hello to the children on the school bus. Tiny connections close the gap between us and cause you to recall that we’re all in this together.
Praise the meal when someone else prepares it for you. Thank the service workers. Treat with respect anyone who works for a living, regardless of what they do. Kindness is free but weighs heavily.
