The Campbell’s Company (Nasdaq: CPB) stock traded 0.67% lower at $30.53 as of 10:22 AM EST on November 10, 2025.
Campbell Soup Company, CPB
The decline comes as Campbell Global, a J.P. Morgan company, announced its acquisition of Emerald Ridge, a 28,200-acre timberland property across Oregon’s north coastal and Willamette Valley regions.
The acquisition highlights a continued push toward sustainable forestry and conservation, reinforcing Campbell Global’s long-term investment approach in timberland management.
Emerald Ridge is home to approximately 8.5 million trees spanning Western Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce, Red Cedar, and Red Alder. The timberland also features 365 miles of streams, including 70 miles supporting fish populations, alongside 3,100 acres of streamside buffers aimed at preserving water quality.
In a commitment to environmental stewardship, the property will be managed under Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) standards. Campbell Global stated that this acquisition supports its mission of responsible land management while providing living-wage employment in rural Oregon.
The firm also designated 390 acres of the site for wildlife habitats, protecting species like the northern spotted owl, bald eagle, and marbled murrelet.
Angela Davis, Managing Director and CEO of Campbell Global, said, “Oregon is home to some of the highest-quality forestland in the world. This transaction demonstrates our team’s expertise and ability to acquire top-tier properties on behalf of our investors.”
The acquisition aligns with Campbell Global’s broader strategy to combine ecological sustainability with financial performance, focusing on long-term value creation for institutional clients.
Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Campbell Global has more than 40 years of experience managing timberland investments worldwide. The firm oversees 5 million acres of land for pension funds, foundations, and institutional investors.
As of December 31, 2024, Campbell Global managed $10.1 billion in assets and employed 150 professionals globally. Earlier this year, it closed its Forest & Climate Solutions Fund II, raising $1.5 billion, the largest timberland investment fund to date.
Despite the announcement, Campbell’s (CPB) shares have underperformed the broader market this year.
In comparison, the S&P 500 has advanced 15.72% YTD and 91.96% over five years.
While Campbell’s stock continues to lag, the acquisition of Emerald Ridge underlines the company’s association with sustainability-focused growth. The move supports both environmental protection and community development, factors that could reinforce investor confidence in the long run.
