PANews reported on November 12th, citing Techinasia, that Coinbase launched Coinbase Business in Singapore, marking its first international expansion outside the United States. The new platform provides cryptocurrency trading and payment services for local startups and small businesses, and leverages its partnership with Standard Chartered Bank to support real-time transfers in Singapore dollars. Coinbase stated that the service allows businesses to instantly settle payments using stablecoins such as USDC and XSGD, aiming to reduce international transaction costs and the risk of chargebacks. Currently, the company is accepting early access applications from eligible Singaporean businesses. This move follows Coinbase's recent participation in the Monetary Authority of Singapore's (MAS) BLOOM program, which focuses on digital asset settlement in Singapore.
In October, Coinbase launched "Coinbase Business," a stablecoin-based business payment platform .
