Toobit, a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in the Cayman Islands, launched a special campaign with the participation of the world-renowned climber Chris Sharma.

The initiative aims to reward traders for completing various tasks.

The $1 Million Prize Pool

Toobit’s newest campaign, called “Trails to Triumph with Chris Sharma,” will encourage both experienced and new traders to explore the exchange’s diverse features and services.

It will reward clients with lucky entries for completing various tasks across three categories: starter quests for quick onboarding, tiered funding milestones for deposit activity, and daily climbs that reward regular trading across spot, futures, copy trading, and event contracts.

The campaign’s total prize pool is $1 million, composed of funds and physical rewards such as iPhone 17 Pro, Apple Watch Series 11, and more. Traders will also be allowed to claim crypto and vouchers, including bonuses worth up to 200 USDT and token airdrops involving DOGE and TON. Additionally, the exchange will offer limited-edition Toobit merchandise. Speaking on the initiative was the company’s CCO, Mike Williams:

Those willing to participate must first register on the dedicated campaign page provided by the exchange. They should also check the full details and requirements of the promotion on Toobit’s official website.

The initiative is driven by the company’s Brand Ambassador, Chris Sharma, a legendary rock climber widely considered one of the greatest in the history of the sport.

The Multi-Million Fund

In October, the exchange introduced a $50 million fund, described as “a proactive risk reserve that provides free, automatic protection for all Toobit traders against losses from unforeseen platform incidents.”

It ensures that users receive compensation in the event of a hack or platform disruption. The initiative is automatically activated the moment a trader makes their first deposit, while Toobit displays a live, 24/7 public dashboard which shows the fund’s total value.

It is worth noting that the fund does not cover losses resulting from personal account compromises, trading decisions, or market volatility.

UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach

The post UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. British crypto holders may soon face a very different landscape as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) moves to expand its regulatory reach in the industry. A new consultation paper outlines how the watchdog intends to apply its rulebook to crypto firms, shaping everything from asset safeguarding to trading platform operation. According to the financial regulator, these proposals would translate into clearer protections for retail investors and stricter oversight of crypto firms. UK FCA plans Until now, UK crypto users mostly encountered the FCA through rules on promotions and anti-money laundering checks. The consultation paper goes much further. It proposes direct oversight of stablecoin issuers, custodians, and crypto-asset trading platforms (CATPs). For investors, that means the wallets, exchanges, and coins they rely on could soon be subject to the same governance and resilience standards as traditional financial institutions. The regulator has also clarified that firms need official authorization before serving customers. This condition should, in theory, reduce the risk of sudden platform failures or unclear accountability. David Geale, the FCA’s executive director of payments and digital finance, said the proposals are designed to strike a balance between innovation and protection. He explained: “We want to develop a sustainable and competitive crypto sector – balancing innovation, market integrity and trust.” Geale noted that while the rules will not eliminate investment risks, they will create consistent standards, helping consumers understand what to expect from registered firms. Why does this matter for crypto holders? The UK regulatory framework shift would provide safer custody of assets, better disclosure of risks, and clearer recourse if something goes wrong. However, the regulator was also frank in its submission, arguing that no rulebook can eliminate the volatility or inherent risks of holding digital assets. Instead, the focus is on ensuring that when consumers choose to invest, they do…
