Let’s get real: the idea of XRP zooming to $10 feels nice, but it’s far from guaranteed. Yes, analysts are pointing to a potential breakout. Still, upon closer examination of the numbers and landscape, there are far better bets available, especially for investors seeking upside without waiting indefinitely. This particular meme coin has been gaining serious attention in the past few weeks, Little Pepe (LILPEPE), as its presale is almost sold out. Early presale buyers have seen over 120% gains, and more gains are anticipated after its launch.

Why XRP’s $10 Target Might Be A Stretch

Analyst Ali Martinez recently argued that XRP could reach $10 by forming a classic bull flag pattern on its monthly chart, following a retest near $1.90. The theory suggests that XRP remains in a consolidation between $1.90 and $3.38, and once it breaks out, the flag’s “pole” could carry it up toward $10.  But here’s the flip side: projection sites like CoinCodex see minimal upside for XRP in the near term, suggesting it may end 2025 in the $2.20 – $2.60 zone and only reach $7-8 by 2030. Other forecasts suggest a $5–$10 range as a long-shot scenario, while many models anticipate more modest numbers.  So, yes, $10 is on some charts, but it depends on a flawless breakout, favorable macro tides, and significant institutional flow. If you’re an investor looking for higher-potential moves today, you may want to consider alternatives.

Three Cryptos That Are Catching Smart Money’s Eye

Here are three tokens that, based on current data and momentum, may offer more compelling risk-reward than XRP.

Little Pepe (LILPEPE)

This is the standout. LILPEPE is a meme-coin built on a next-gen Layer-2 blockchain. Its presale is live and doing serious numbers: tokens are currently selling at $0.0022, stage 13 is 96.56% filled, and over $27.4 million has already been raised, with more than 16.65 billion tokens sold.  Early backers (stage 1) are reportedly up 120% already. The launch price is projected at $0.0030, which means you could be looking at a 36.36% upside before the token even hits exchanges.

Additionally, LILPEPE has undergone a security audit by CertiK and is listed on CoinMarketCap.  To sweeten the deal, there’s a $777k giveaway and a mega-giveaway rewarding top presale buyers (stages 12-17) with over 15 ETH in prizes. If you believe in the meme-coin wave and picking up early where the upside is still real, this is one to watch. While XRP can only reach $8 by 2030, offering a 3.5x rise, LILPEPE coils climb over 45x in 2026, due to its layer two meme nature.

Aerodrome Finance (AERO)

This isn’t pure meme-coin hype, but it offers exposure to growth. AERO is the governance token of a next-generation AMM on the Base chain. Technical setups suggest AERO has broken out of resistance and could move toward $2-$3, depending on Ethereum correlation and market momentum.  For investors seeking utility + upside, AERO is a viable pick.

SOON (SOON)

SOON is less hyped than LILPEPE, but worth noting. The token has a strong presence on exchanges, exhibits high trading volume, and is audited (as indicated on CoinGecko, where it is listed with a security score). While today its price is $2.67 with a market cap of nearly $790 million, which may reduce some upside potential compared to ultra-cheap plays, the project is genuinely live and could deliver steady growth.

Final thoughts

If you’re holding XRP hoping for $10, you’re not necessarily wrong, but you’re also counting on everything going right, and timing the breakout is tricky. Meanwhile, projects like Little Pepe, Aerodrome Finance, and SOON offer different angles: ultra-early entry (with LILPEPE), utility-driven growth (AERO), and a solid foundation (SOON). If you like chasing significant upside and you’re comfortable with risk, LILPEPE stands out: you’re looking at potential gains while many others are already priced in. Just remember: these are high-risk bets. Spread your risk, conduct thorough research, and invest only what you can afford to lose.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
