Nina Rong:- BNB Chain has dominated headlines recently with its renewed push into perpetuals, prediction markets, and high-frequency on-chain activity.
The momentum is clearly reflected in its numbers: 24-hour chain revenue crossed $35,000, while chain fees surged past $350,000. Trading remains strong too, with perpetual volumes around $594 million and DEX volumes near $2 billion in the past 24 hours, according to DeFiLlama.
Now, to further lead this expansion phase, the network has made a major executive move. On Thursday, BNB Chain announced the appointment of Nina Rong as its new Chief Growth Officer, ending the week with both robust ecosystem metrics and a high-impact leadership hire.

Nina joins BNB Chain with a clear mandate: revitalize developer participation and strengthen the chain’s global growth strategy.
In her X post, Rong said her mission is to build programs and platforms that bring early-stage projects and global talent into the BNB ecosystem. This includes activating developers, attracting next-generation “killer apps,” and solving the industry’s liquidity-discovery and user-onboarding gaps
Reflecting on her experience, Rong noted she entered crypto at a time when blockchain congestion could make transactions cost thousands of dollars. Today’s problem is no longer scalability – it’s discovery.
Only a small fraction of on-chain assets are “activated,” she added, and the gap between builders and users remains wide.

Immediate Hiring Surge After Appointment
Interestingly, Rong share one unexpected trend emerging within hours of her announcement: a flood of applicants asking to join her new team.
Rong responded by publicly opening recruitment. Key roles she opened up inlcude Event coordinators, Web3 marketers, Business developers and Regional leads to function as BD reps, community managers, and spokespersons.
She invited candidates to comment publicly with a short self-intro and offered to DM them a link to the interview process. She is also encouraging even “unconventional” talent to apply by sharing their “superpower.”
CZ’s Circle Welcomes the Hire
The appointment drew unusually strong reactions, including from CZ’s close circle. This is signaling how strategically important this role is for BNB Chain.
Rong, formerly a core partnerships and ecosystem growth leader at Arbitrum, brings rare experience in growing an L2 from early-stage chaos to global scale. This is supported by an engineering background from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Peking University.
