Nigerian Police debunks opening recruitment portal, says viral posts are fake

The Nigerian Police Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed reports circulating on various social media platforms that it has opened its recruitment portal. This comes amid the commission’s preparation for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.

According to a statement published on its official website on Monday, the PSC tagged the viral publications as fake. It described it as an attempt by fraudsters to scam and exploit innocent Nigerians, and also to fetch their vital details.

“The general public is hereby informed that these publications are fake and entirely misleading. They are the handiwork of fraudsters attempting to exploit innocent citizens,” part of the statement reads.

Recruitment: Police Service Commission

The commission also reiterated that neither the recruitment portal has been opened nor has the 2025 recruitment into the Nigerian Police Force commenced. It added that whenever the process begins, the announcement will be made strictly by official bodies and through authorised platforms.

“We urge Nigerians to rely only on information published through these official channels. Any recruitment portal not listed on our website is fraudulent and should be reported to the police,” the commission said.

In the statement, PSC stressed that official channels such as advertisements in reputable national newspapers, announcements posted on its verified website (www.psc.gov.ng), and formal press releases will be used for proper communication once recruitment begins.

The Nigerian Police Force’s 2025 recruitment

While the commission has yet to open the portal for the 2025 recruitment into the Nigerian Police Force, preparation for the exercise has commenced.

In a statement on November 27, the commission noted that it has hit the ground running in compliance with the Presidential directive to recruit 30,000 police officers. In preparation for that, it has set up a Joint Ad-hoc Committee to drive the process and make necessary preparations.

With information on the exercise, fraudsters seem to bank on this to defraud Nigerians and take advantage of Nigeria’s high unemployment rate.

Any purported recruitment portal not published on the Commission’s official website is fraudulent and should be reported to the police accordingly,” the commission said in the statement.

While the Nigerian Police Force is preparing for its recruitment exercise, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services have reached the fourth stage of that process: Physical Screening and Document Verification. Applicants who passed the CBT exercise have started receiving the date and venue.

During the third stage, which was an online CBT exercise, 650,395 applicants obtained the pass mark (scored between 41-100), out of the 872,391 applicants who took the online exam. Only 142,697 scored above 80, representing 25.4% of applicants who took the exam.

The post Is Doge Losing Steam As Traders Choose Pepeto For The Best Crypto Investment? appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto News 17 September 2025 | 17:39 Is dogecoin really fading? As traders hunt the best crypto to buy now and weigh 2025 picks, Dogecoin (DOGE) still owns the meme coin spotlight, yet upside looks capped, today’s Dogecoin price prediction says as much. Attention is shifting to projects that blend culture with real on-chain tools. Buyers searching “best crypto to buy now” want shipped products, audits, and transparent tokenomics. That frames the true matchup: dogecoin vs. Pepeto. Enter Pepeto (PEPETO), an Ethereum-based memecoin with working rails: PepetoSwap, a zero-fee DEX, plus Pepeto Bridge for smooth cross-chain moves. By fusing story with tools people can use now, and speaking directly to crypto presale 2025 demand, Pepeto puts utility, clarity, and distribution in front. In a market where legacy meme coin leaders risk drifting on sentiment, Pepeto’s execution gives it a real seat in the “best crypto to buy now” debate. First, a quick look at why dogecoin may be losing altitude. Dogecoin Price Prediction: Is Doge Really Fading? Remember when dogecoin made crypto feel simple? In 2013, DOGE turned a meme into money and a loose forum into a movement. A decade on, the nonstop momentum has cooled; the backdrop is different, and the market is far more selective. With DOGE circling ~$0.268, the tape reads bearish-to-neutral for the next few weeks: hold the $0.26 shelf on daily closes and expect choppy range-trading toward $0.29–$0.30 where rallies keep stalling; lose $0.26 decisively and momentum often bleeds into $0.245 with risk of a deeper probe toward $0.22–$0.21; reclaim $0.30 on a clean daily close and the downside bias is likely neutralized, opening room for a squeeze into the low-$0.30s.
