Spotify Wrapped 2025 is officially out, and listeners are surprised to see that the streaming service has assigned them a “Listening Age,” inspiring plenty of hilarious posts and memes.

What Is Spotify Wrapped?

Spotify Wrapped is a yearly release, sorting vast troves of Spotify user data into personality-defining patterns that listeners love to share online.

Wrapped has become an anticipated internet tradition, and has proved so popular that other streaming platforms have launched similar annual breakdowns, with YouTube introducing “Recap” and Apple releasing “Replay.”

While the AI-focused 2024 Spotify Wrapped was a tad disappointing, Spotify generated more goodwill for 2025, with listeners focused on a new feature— the “Listening Age.”

What Is The Spotify Wrapped ‘Listening Age’?

Spotify Wrapped boasts plenty of updates for 2025, such as a quiz, most-listened to albums, a list of the most popular podcasts, and an estimated Listening Age for users.

According to Spotify, Listening Age is based on an idea known as the “reminiscence bump,” which proposes that your music tastes are imprinted by early, formative years (around 16 to 21), and that the release date of your favorite songs might well reveal your age.

Spotify reckons that many users show a “tendency to feel most connected to the music from your younger years.”

To calculate Listening Age, Spotify notes the release date of the songs you have listened to in 2025 and clumps the data together to calculate a five-year span of music that appeals to you, revealing your supposed age.

Of course, the results were not accurate, at all, and plenty of listeners posted their most wildly inconsistent Listening Ages.

Plenty of Spotify users revealed themselves as old souls, with classic rock fans labelled as geriatrics.

Some poked fun at Spotify’s social media account using Gen Z slang.

The number 67 popped up for a few listeners, which is now forever associated with “6-7,” the inexplicably popular Gen Alpha meme.

Others found Spotify’s slogan, “Age is just a number,” to be amusing in itself.

Many made memes inspired by the amusing inaccuracies of Spotify’s Listening Age.

New features aside, the usual jokes were made about Spotify Wrapped, with several commentators surprised by what the data really revealed about their music taste.

Some took the opportunity to reference TikTok’s “We Are Charlie Kirk” memes.

Spotify says it’s “playfully” guessing, rather than actually trying to pin down the real age of listeners—makes sense, as missing the mark made for more fun.

Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For

The post Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Topline The Federal Reserve on Wednesday will conclude a two-day policymaking meeting and release a decision on whether to lower interest rates—following months of pressure and criticism from President Donald Trump—and potentially signal whether additional cuts are on the way. President Donald Trump has urged the central bank to “CUT INTEREST RATES, NOW, AND BIGGER” than they might plan to. Getty Images Key Facts The central bank is poised to cut interest rates by at least a quarter-point, down from the 4.25% to 4.5% range where they have been held since December to between 4% and 4.25%, as Wall Street has placed 100% odds of a rate cut, according to CME’s FedWatch, with higher odds (94%) on a quarter-point cut than a half-point (6%) reduction. Fed governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, both Trump appointees, voted in July for a quarter-point reduction to rates, and they may dissent again in favor of a large cut alongside Stephen Miran, Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers’ chair, who was sworn in at the meeting’s start on Tuesday. It’s unclear whether other policymakers, including Kansas City Fed President Jeffrey Schmid and St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem, will favor larger cuts or opt for no reduction. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said in his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, address last month the central bank would likely consider a looser monetary policy, noting the “shifting balance of risks” on the U.S. economy “may warrant adjusting our policy stance.” David Mericle, an economist for Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note the “key question” for the Fed’s meeting is whether policymakers signal “this is likely the first in a series of consecutive cuts” as the central bank is anticipated to “acknowledge the softening in the labor market,” though they may not “nod to an October cut.” Mericle said he…
