Phantom has just made a significant leap in its traditional crypto wallet functionality, introducing new Prediction Markets, a functionality that will change the way users communicate with real-world events.

The system, constructed alongside Kalshi, is a combination of live event trading, social activity, and on-chain settlement, all within the familiar Phantom interface.

A New Social Layer for Global Events

Prediction Markets put Phantom in a better position than just a crypto wallet. It turns into a social center where users can track the events happening in the world and make purchases and sales immediately.

Rather than following or scrolling through feeds, users can now follow sports, political developments, cultural happenings, and crypto trends using live probabilities and market action.

Every market is updated in real-time as the underlying event progresses. A basketball point is altered, a political poll gets lowered, a token goes beyond a border; each move has its ripple around the market. This responsiveness in real time makes prediction trading seem quick, lively, and instantly in touch with what is going on in the world.

Event Trading Made Simple

The strategy of Phantom is based on accessibility. Human users do not have to learn more complex trading infrastructure or books. Rather, each market is based on a mere binary decision- Yes or No. Will this happen or not?

After a user selects an outcome, he/she selects the token they would like to pay with and approve the trade. Phantom supports a variety of tokens, such as CASH, reducing the barriers to users who wish to experiment without complex steps and additional on-ramps.

As soon as an order is triggered, Phantom is dynamically tracking its value. With increasing or decreasing probabilities, users will be able to see their positions changing in real time. At the end of an event, the system settles automatically and the payouts are ready to collect.

Powered by Community Conversations

An interesting aspect of the new feature is its inbuilt conversation feed. All communities have live chat where members respond to emerging news, express their views, taunt their opponents, or just have fun.

This chat layer changes the feeling of isolated speculation to a feeling of group participation. At the time of hot sport games or political news, the chat turns into a whirlwind of immediate responses that tends to change the way the traders perceive the odds. It has personality in markets – and makes it feel like being part of a worldwide watch party.

Everything in One Wallet – Phantom

In comparison with most prediction platforms, Phantom gets rid of friction since everything is stored under the same roof. No individual sign-up process, no outside KYC flow, or transferring money between applications. Users open up their wallet, select a market and begin trading immediately.

The application also manages all the information that is usually overwhelming to new traders. Position results, event timelines, settlement updates, and changes in price are shown automatically. When the early exit is enabled on a market, Phantom will remind users with choices to minimize or shut positions before the occasion ends.

Discovering What the World Cares About

Phantom hosts hundreds of events of all the categories, which is why the discovery is an essential part of the experience. Markets can be browsed based on what is trending, what is hot throughout the world, or dive deep into interests that matter to them: sports, politics, crypto trends, cultural events, and more.

The design allows the users to pass through easily between learning about an event and engaging on it, allowing a smooth transition between curiosity, understanding, and response.

UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach

The post UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. British crypto holders may soon face a very different landscape as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) moves to expand its regulatory reach in the industry. A new consultation paper outlines how the watchdog intends to apply its rulebook to crypto firms, shaping everything from asset safeguarding to trading platform operation. According to the financial regulator, these proposals would translate into clearer protections for retail investors and stricter oversight of crypto firms. UK FCA plans Until now, UK crypto users mostly encountered the FCA through rules on promotions and anti-money laundering checks. The consultation paper goes much further. It proposes direct oversight of stablecoin issuers, custodians, and crypto-asset trading platforms (CATPs). For investors, that means the wallets, exchanges, and coins they rely on could soon be subject to the same governance and resilience standards as traditional financial institutions. The regulator has also clarified that firms need official authorization before serving customers. This condition should, in theory, reduce the risk of sudden platform failures or unclear accountability. David Geale, the FCA’s executive director of payments and digital finance, said the proposals are designed to strike a balance between innovation and protection. He explained: “We want to develop a sustainable and competitive crypto sector – balancing innovation, market integrity and trust.” Geale noted that while the rules will not eliminate investment risks, they will create consistent standards, helping consumers understand what to expect from registered firms. Why does this matter for crypto holders? The UK regulatory framework shift would provide safer custody of assets, better disclosure of risks, and clearer recourse if something goes wrong. However, the regulator was also frank in its submission, arguing that no rulebook can eliminate the volatility or inherent risks of holding digital assets. Instead, the focus is on ensuring that when consumers choose to invest, they do…
