Here’s how much $1,000 invested in Palantir stock at the start of 2025 is worth now

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) has been one of the standout U.S. equities of 2025, with the stock more than doubling amid accelerating demand for its artificial intelligence platforms and expanding commercial adoption.

At the start of the year, Palantir shares were trading around $75.19 on January 2, 2025. A $1,000 investment (assuming fractional shares and excluding fees) at that level would have purchased roughly 13.3 shares.

With the stock trading near $194.17 on December 24, that position would now be worth approximately $2,580, representing a gain of about $1,580, or roughly 158% year-to-date.

PLTR stock enters the final trading week of the year following a shortened Christmas Eve session and a full Christmas Day market closure, with U.S. equities reopening for a regular session on Friday, December 26. Post-holiday trading periods are often characterised by lighter liquidity, meaning Palantir’s price action could be more sensitive to pre-market headlines and momentum-driven moves.

PLTR stock price technical analysis

From a technical perspective, Palantir recently drew attention after forming a cup-with-handle breakout, with a buy point near $190.40, while also posting a record high of $207.52 in November 2025. Although the longer-term trend remains firmly bullish, the stock is still trading close to key breakout levels, leaving it vulnerable to sharp pullbacks if sentiment shifts in the near term.

Fundamentally, optimism around Palantir’s trajectory has been reinforced by Wall Street commentary. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives recently stated that he expects Palantir to expand its commercial AI success in 2026 through its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), positioning the company “front and center” in the AI software revolution. Ives argued that Palantir could be on a path toward a $1 trillion valuation over the next two to three years if execution continues.

As 2026 approaches, Palantir’s combination of strong price momentum, growing enterprise adoption, and prominent AI exposure keeps the stock firmly on investors’ radars, while also reminding traders that volatility remains part of the equation.

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

The post BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BlackRock is steering $185 billion worth of model portfolios deeper into US stocks and artificial intelligence. The decision came this week as the asset manager adjusted its entire model suite, increasing its equity allocation and dumping exposure to international developed markets. The firm now sits 2% overweight on stocks, after money moved between several of its biggest exchange-traded funds. This wasn’t a slow shuffle. Billions flowed across multiple ETFs on Tuesday as BlackRock executed the realignment. The iShares S&P 100 ETF (OEF) alone brought in $3.4 billion, the largest single-day haul in its history. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected $2.3 billion, while the iShares US Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF (DYNF) added nearly $2 billion. The rebalancing triggered swift inflows and outflows that realigned investor exposure on the back of performance data and macroeconomic outlooks. BlackRock raises equities on strong US earnings The model updates come as BlackRock backs the rally in American stocks, fueled by strong earnings and optimism around rate cuts. In an investment letter obtained by Bloomberg, the firm said US companies have delivered 11% earnings growth since the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, earnings across other developed markets barely touched 2%. That gap helped push the decision to drop international holdings in favor of American ones. Michael Gates, lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Target Allocation ETF model portfolio suite, said the US market is the only one showing consistency in sales growth, profit delivery, and revisions in analyst forecasts. “The US equity market continues to stand alone in terms of earnings delivery, sales growth and sustainable trends in analyst estimates and revisions,” Michael wrote. He added that non-US developed markets lagged far behind, especially when it came to sales. This week’s changes reflect that position. The move was made ahead of the Federal…
