XRP price prediction shows potential 20% upside to $2.22 as technical indicators signal oversold bounce from $1.85 current levels with critical $1.77 support test ahead.

XRP Price Prediction Summary

XRP short-term target (1 week): $2.00-$2.22 (+8-20%)
Ripple medium-term forecast (1 month): $1.77-$2.35 range
Key level to break for bullish continuation: $2.18
Critical support if bearish: $1.77

Recent Ripple Price Predictions from Analysts

The latest XRP price prediction from multiple analysts shows a cautiously optimistic outlook despite recent weakness. Blockchain.News maintains the most aggressive Ripple forecast, targeting $2.35-$2.88 based on oversold technical conditions. Their December 24th analysis specifically identified $2.22 as an immediate XRP price target, representing approximately 20% upside from current levels.

In contrast, 24/7 Wall St. presents a more conservative view based on market sentiment polling, with their XRP price prediction ranging between $1.50-$2.00 by year-end. This reflects the broader market’s hesitancy, with 73% of Gemini users expecting Ripple to close below $2.00.

The consensus among analysts suggests XRP faces a critical juncture, with technical indicators supporting a bounce while market sentiment remains subdued. This divergence creates an interesting setup for contrarian traders willing to bet on technical over sentiment-driven analysis.

XRP Technical Analysis: Setting Up for Oversold Bounce

Current Ripple technical analysis reveals several compelling factors supporting the bullish XRP price prediction. The RSI at 38.19 sits in neutral territory but trending toward oversold conditions, historically a precursor to price reversals in XRP. More importantly, the MACD histogram shows positive momentum at 0.0013, indicating early bullish divergence despite the negative MACD reading.

The Bollinger Bands positioning tells a crucial story for the Ripple forecast. With XRP trading at the 0.25 position within the bands, the token sits much closer to the lower band ($1.76) than the upper band ($2.10). This compression often precedes significant moves, and given the oversold momentum indicators, the bias tilts bullish.

Volume analysis on Binance shows $104.4 million in 24-hour trading, indicating sustained interest despite the price weakness. The fact that XRP hasn’t broken below the lower Bollinger Band at $1.76 suggests accumulation near these levels, supporting the XRP price target of $2.22.

Ripple Price Targets: Bull and Bear Scenarios

Bullish Case for XRP

The primary bullish XRP price prediction centers on a recovery to $2.22, aligning with the December 24th analyst forecast. This represents the first significant resistance level and would confirm the oversold bounce thesis. Breaking above $2.22 opens the path to $2.35, the key Ripple forecast target from Blockchain.News.

For this scenario to unfold, XRP needs to reclaim the $1.93 SMA 20 level, which currently acts as immediate resistance. The bullish momentum would gain credibility with RSI crossing back above 50 and MACD turning positive. Volume expansion above $150 million would provide additional confirmation.

The ultimate bullish XRP price target sits at $2.58, representing the 200-day SMA and strong resistance level. However, this appears optimistic given current market conditions and would likely require broader crypto market strength.

Bearish Risk for Ripple

The bearish scenario focuses on a break below the critical $1.77 support level. This would invalidate the current consolidation pattern and potentially trigger a retest of the 52-week low at $1.81. Given XRP’s proximity to this level, the downside risk appears limited in absolute terms but significant percentage-wise.

A break below $1.77 would target the conservative analyst prediction range of $1.50-$1.60. This aligns with the more pessimistic Ripple forecast that views current levels as overvalued relative to fundamental developments.

The bearish case gains strength if RSI drops below 30 into oversold territory without a corresponding price bounce, suggesting momentum breakdown rather than consolidation.

Should You Buy XRP Now? Entry Strategy

Based on current Ripple technical analysis, a staged entry approach appears most prudent. Initial positions could be established at current levels ($1.85) with stop-losses at $1.75, just below the critical support. This provides a tight risk-reward ratio aligned with the XRP price prediction methodology.

More aggressive buyers might wait for a test of $1.77 support before entering, offering better risk-adjusted returns if the level holds. Conversely, conservative investors should wait for confirmation above $2.00 before establishing positions, sacrificing early entry for higher probability.

Position sizing should reflect the medium confidence level in current predictions. Allocating 2-3% of crypto portfolio exposure allows participation in potential upside while limiting downside impact if the bearish scenario unfolds.

XRP Price Prediction Conclusion

The current XRP price prediction suggests a 20% upside potential to $2.22 within the next week, supported by oversold technical conditions and positive MACD momentum. However, this bullish Ripple forecast carries medium confidence given the proximity to critical support at $1.77.

Key indicators to monitor include RSI behavior around the 40 level, MACD cross above zero, and volume confirmation above $150 million. Failure to hold $1.77 support would invalidate the bullish thesis and shift focus to the $1.50-$1.60 downside targets.

The prediction timeline extends through December 31st, with the expectation that XRP will either confirm the $2.22 XRP price target or retest the $1.77 support decisively. This binary setup offers clear risk parameters for both bulls and bears in the final days of 2025.

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

The post BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BlackRock is steering $185 billion worth of model portfolios deeper into US stocks and artificial intelligence. The decision came this week as the asset manager adjusted its entire model suite, increasing its equity allocation and dumping exposure to international developed markets. The firm now sits 2% overweight on stocks, after money moved between several of its biggest exchange-traded funds. This wasn’t a slow shuffle. Billions flowed across multiple ETFs on Tuesday as BlackRock executed the realignment. The iShares S&P 100 ETF (OEF) alone brought in $3.4 billion, the largest single-day haul in its history. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected $2.3 billion, while the iShares US Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF (DYNF) added nearly $2 billion. The rebalancing triggered swift inflows and outflows that realigned investor exposure on the back of performance data and macroeconomic outlooks. BlackRock raises equities on strong US earnings The model updates come as BlackRock backs the rally in American stocks, fueled by strong earnings and optimism around rate cuts. In an investment letter obtained by Bloomberg, the firm said US companies have delivered 11% earnings growth since the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, earnings across other developed markets barely touched 2%. That gap helped push the decision to drop international holdings in favor of American ones. Michael Gates, lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Target Allocation ETF model portfolio suite, said the US market is the only one showing consistency in sales growth, profit delivery, and revisions in analyst forecasts. “The US equity market continues to stand alone in terms of earnings delivery, sales growth and sustainable trends in analyst estimates and revisions,” Michael wrote. He added that non-US developed markets lagged far behind, especially when it came to sales. This week’s changes reflect that position. The move was made ahead of the Federal…
