PANews reported on December 31st, citing Cointelegraph, that Binance founder Changpeng Zhao stated that if Pakistan maintains its current pace of progress in regulation and application, the country could become a leading global cryptocurrency nation by 2030. He praised the Pakistani leadership for acting swiftly and accurately grasping the demand for digital assets from its young, tech-savvy population. Zhao pointed out that Pakistan has taken several key actions this year, such as establishing a virtual asset regulatory body, allowing Binance and HTX to operate compliantly, exploring Bitcoin reserves, and promoting the tokenization of RWA to attract foreign investment and improve liquidity.
Regarding the tokenization of the stock market, Changpeng Zhao stated that this would allow global investors to directly invest in Pakistani assets, representing a "truly globalized investment channel," with the first countries to implement it reaping the greatest benefits. Furthermore, Zhao believes that blockchain is more friendly to individuals and SMEs, with lower barriers to entry than the banking or AI industries. He also called for strengthening education, university programs, and incubator development to cultivate a local innovation ecosystem.
