PANews reported on January 9th that, according to the minutes of the 172nd Ethereum consensus layer developer meeting held by ACDC, developers discussed the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade and the next phase of the Hegota upgrade. Among the discussions, EIP-8070 "sparse blob pool" was included in the Glamsterdam candidate feature, and the second blob-only Fusaka hard fork has been successfully launched on the mainnet, increasing blob transaction block space by 40%.
In addition, the feature proposal window for Hegota upgrades is now open, with a deadline of February 5th. Proposals must be published on Ethereum Magicians and presented at the developer conference. The conference will also cover topics such as the ePBS testing challenges, suggestions for consensus layer censorship resistance mechanisms, and optimization of the EIP governance process.
