PANews reported on January 9th that, according to Jinshi News, today's non-farm payroll data shows that the US will add only 584,000 jobs in 2025. This is the weakest increase since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic caused a sharp drop of 9.2 million jobs. Looking back to the pre-pandemic period, during the entire expansion from 2010 to 2019, there was never an annual increase as low as 584,000.
