UnionPay and Samsung Launch Dual NFC and QR Payment Service

UnionPay International (UPI) and Samsung Electronics have launched a joint mobile payment service based on an “NFC–QR code all-in-one” solution, following an announcement in Shanghai.

Under the collaboration, UnionPay cardholders can add their cards to Samsung Wallet and choose either NFC contactless payment or QR code payment when making transactions.

Hong Kong will be the first market to introduce the service, with BOC Credit Card acting as the initial issuing partner.

Samsung Wallet is currently available in 62 countries and regions.

The partnership is expected to broaden the international availability of UnionPay’s mobile payment services among Android users and support the rollout of digital card issuance in local markets.

In Hong Kong, UnionPay International and Samsung Electronics will also introduce limited promotional offers for UnionPay cardholders using Samsung Galaxy devices.

Larry Wang, Chief Executive Officer of UnionPay International, said the collaboration reflects a practical effort to combine the strengths of the three parties to support cross-border mobile payments.

he said, adding that the combination of Samsung’s global scale and UnionPay’s issuer and merchant partnerships could support wider adoption of mobile payments across Greater China and other markets.

He said Samsung will introduce QR code payments alongside NFC contactless payments to extend Samsung Wallet’s payment coverage.

The NFC–QR code all-in-one solution allows a single application to support multiple payment methods.

It enables overseas partner institutions to deploy UnionPay’s NFC-based mobile QuickPass and QR code payment services at the same time, addressing differing user preferences across markets.

Is Doge Losing Steam As Traders Choose Pepeto For The Best Crypto Investment?

The post Is Doge Losing Steam As Traders Choose Pepeto For The Best Crypto Investment? appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto News 17 September 2025 | 17:39 Is dogecoin really fading? As traders hunt the best crypto to buy now and weigh 2025 picks, Dogecoin (DOGE) still owns the meme coin spotlight, yet upside looks capped, today’s Dogecoin price prediction says as much. Attention is shifting to projects that blend culture with real on-chain tools. Buyers searching “best crypto to buy now” want shipped products, audits, and transparent tokenomics. That frames the true matchup: dogecoin vs. Pepeto. Enter Pepeto (PEPETO), an Ethereum-based memecoin with working rails: PepetoSwap, a zero-fee DEX, plus Pepeto Bridge for smooth cross-chain moves. By fusing story with tools people can use now, and speaking directly to crypto presale 2025 demand, Pepeto puts utility, clarity, and distribution in front. In a market where legacy meme coin leaders risk drifting on sentiment, Pepeto’s execution gives it a real seat in the “best crypto to buy now” debate. First, a quick look at why dogecoin may be losing altitude. Dogecoin Price Prediction: Is Doge Really Fading? Remember when dogecoin made crypto feel simple? In 2013, DOGE turned a meme into money and a loose forum into a movement. A decade on, the nonstop momentum has cooled; the backdrop is different, and the market is far more selective. With DOGE circling ~$0.268, the tape reads bearish-to-neutral for the next few weeks: hold the $0.26 shelf on daily closes and expect choppy range-trading toward $0.29–$0.30 where rallies keep stalling; lose $0.26 decisively and momentum often bleeds into $0.245 with risk of a deeper probe toward $0.22–$0.21; reclaim $0.30 on a clean daily close and the downside bias is likely neutralized, opening room for a squeeze into the low-$0.30s. The options contracts will have two main sizes, tracking the futures contracts. The new market will be suitable for sophisticated institutional traders, as well as active individual traders. The addition of options markets singles out XRP and SOL as liquid enough to offer the potential to bet on a market direction.  The options on futures arrive a few months after the launch of SOL futures. Both SOL and XRP had peak volumes in August, though XRP activity has slowed down in September. XRP and SOL options to tap both institutions and active traders Crypto options are one of the indicators of market attitudes, with XRP and SOL receiving a new way to gauge sentiment.
