PANews reported on January 13th that, according to Decrypt, a crypto investment executive and his family in Verneuil-sur-Seine, France, were attacked by three armed men on Friday night. The entire family was beaten and tied up with cable ties. This incident occurred the day before another investor was kidnapped, beaten, and abandoned 50 kilometers from his home near Cholet. Recent spate of "$5 wrench attacks" in France, where criminal gangs use violence to force victims to hand over their crypto assets, has raised widespread concerns about data breaches and security vulnerabilities.
