OKX Wallet, the flagship crypto wallet of the prominent crypto exchange, OKX, has partnered with Ondo Finance. The partnership aims to enable the on-chain trading of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). As OKX Wallet revealed in its official social media announcement, the collaboration is poised to increase RWA accessibility for the worldwide OKX Wallet users. Hence, the development underscores another key move that brings institutional-level financial products to decentralized finance.

OKX Wallet and Ondo Finance Collaborate to Advance Trading of Tokenized RWAs

The partnership between OKX Wallet and Ondo Finance focuses on permitting the consumers to leverage tokenized RWAs’ trading on-chain. In this respect, the users can use the tokenized versions of diverse real-world assets (RWAs). At the moment, the RWA sector is experiencing rapid growth across the global crypto market. Particularly, these assets take into account instruments like tokenized U.S. bonds, Treasuries, and the rest of the financial products that bear yield.

With the on-chain integration of these assets, OKX Wallet attempts to minimize barriers existing between DeFi and TradFi while also preserving programmability and transparency of the robust blockchain technology. As the announcement points out, the clients can now trade tokenized RWAs via the OKX Wallet DEX through next-gen trading features. Thus, the traders no longer need to depend on centrally controlled intermediaries to get exposure to conventionally off-chain assets.

Apart from that, the complete self-custody guarantees that consumers retain full control over private keys, in line with the central principles of sovereignty and decentralization. Additionally, Ondo Finance has become a leading platform in the RWA sector, giving notable attention to institution-friendly and compliant tokenization mechanisms. The products that the platform provides increase the accessibility of the conventional financial yields to on-chain clients without any compromise on regulatory considerations.

Commencing New Chapter at Convergence of Tokenized RWAs and Blockchain

According to OKX Wallet, the partnership with Ondo Finance is a noteworthy step to make RWAs widely accessible around the world with their tokenized, on-chain trading. Additionally, the development highlights a wider market trend marked by the crypto entities’ increasing focus on RWA tokenization as they connect blockchain efficiency with acquainted financial products. Ultimately, by merging on-chain, self-custodial infrastructure with TradFi, the duo endeavors to redefine the RWA narrative.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
