Amid the ongoing drama and speculation over Danielle Marsh’s dismissal from NewJeans by HYBE label ADOR last month, the singer shared an unsent letter to fans, dated last year, that appears to apply to her current situation.
Written in both Korean and English, the Australian native shared a message on her newly launched Instagram account originally dated November 12, 2025 — the same day ADOR announced that NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein had agreed to return to work under the label. That news came less than two weeks after an October 30 ruling from a Seoul court that the exclusive contracts between NewJeans and ADOR remain valid, rejecting the band’s attempt to terminate and exit the agreement.
While reports circulated that Danielle and the remaining NewJeans members Minji and Hanni were all returning to the ADOR, the label shared on December 28 that Marsh’s contract had been terminated after they “determined that it would be difficult for her to continue as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist.” The agency added that ADOR “intends to pursue legal accountability against one member of Danielle’s family and former [ADOR] CEO Min Hee-jin, who bear significant responsibility for causing this dispute and for the delays in NewJeans’ departure and return.” No further updates on the lawsuit have been shared at this time, but the BBC received confirmation from HYBE that the conglomerate is suing the singer and her associates for $30 million.
Despite the heartbreaking battle between one of the world’s biggest music companies and one of the world’s biggest musicians, Danielle’s letter expresses gratitude to NewJeans’ fans — known as Bunnies — as well as the “start a new chapter” and to “letting go of everything we’ve been through.”
The 20-year-old acknowledged uncertainties for her future, saying, “I know there may be questions, and I don’t have all the answers right now,” but assuring fans that “my heart has not changed. Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein will always be my home — my family,” showing the strong bond that remains between the chart-topping quintet.
Even in this November 12th–dated letter, Danielle seems to acknowledge the group may not be remaining together when she wrote, “Whether our paths run closely together or quietly alongside one another, the bond we share remains unshaken,” and she shares that the five will “always move forward while protecting one another.”
Despite the bittersweet letter, the star vowed to “continue moving toward my dreams and doing things that bring me genuine happiness,” indicating that she plans to move forward in entertainment one way or another.
Curiously, Danielle also included a note about her Instagram handle, @dazzibelle, that she made public just days ago with the ongoing discussions between her and ADOR possibly delaying the account’s official opening.
Read the English letter in full below.
Dear Bunnies,
I hope you’ve been well.
I’m writing as we start a new chapter—a quiet beginning that invites us to step forward together, when we’re ready.
Letting go of everything we’ve been through won’t be easy, but for now, I hope to set the past aside and focus on the days we’ll share ahead.
Thank you, Bunnies, for your patience, support, and warmth. Your kindness carried me through heavy and uncertain moments, giving me courage when I felt unsure. Your presence is a steady light, and I felt every bit of it.
I missed you all so much. Countless times I wanted to reach out. I couldn’t find words that fully captured my sincerity.
I’m so thankful to have such warm and trustworthy fans by my side. You stood by us during difficult times, believing in us and waiting for us. To feel loved in that way is a blessing I never take lightly.
At times, I felt sorry I couldn’t return all of that love. Your support helped me endure hardships, and when I lost courage, you gave me the strength to stand again. You taught me what truly matters-sincerity, resilience, and being true to myself.
I know there may be questions, and I don’t have all the answers right now. But there’s one thing I can say for sure-my heart has not changed. Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein will always be my home — my family.
Whether our paths run closely together or quietly alongside one another, the bond we share remains unshaken. It was built with love, respect, and memories that will stay with us forever. We’ll always move forward while protecting one another.
These days, when I feel like I’m put in a hard situation, I try to find something good in it —not just for myself, but for everyone I love. Difficult moments aren’t “impossible”; they’re simply moments that need a little more time.
I will continue moving toward my dreams and doing things that bring me genuine happiness.
My beloved Bunnies, I hope you live each day as if it’s a fresh beginning. Within the gift of today, I hope you find small joys, new courage, and love. I look forward to the day we meet again — to share stories and simply be in one another’s presence.
Thank you for staying.
Thank you for trusting.
Thank you for walking with me.
Let’s keep going — together.
With all my heart,
Danielle
P.S. I’ll be opening a new Instagram account under @dazzibelle — a small space to share moments, thoughts, and little discoveries along the way. You’re always welcome there.

What’s Next for NewJeans Without Danielle?
Looking at the remaining four stars under the NewJeans’ name, Hanni joined Haerin and Hyein by returning to ADOR, while the eldest member, Minji, is still in talks about her future at the label.
In that December 28 update, ADOR shared that Minji is “in ongoing conversations with ADOR, continuing discussions to foster greater mutual understanding.”
ADOR also noted that aspects about the legal feud will need to be addressed, sharing, “the company and the artists share the view that, to regain the love of fans and the public, it is necessary to fully resolve these misunderstandings based on accurate facts, even if it takes some time.” The parties add that “they have agreed to address the various controversies that arose during the dispute at a later opportunity and discussions on the timing and method are currently underway.”
At press time, there are no updates on the timing of Minji’s decision, the upcoming conversations with NewJeans and ADOR, or Danielle’s future career.
