Six of EXO’s members pose in official album art for REVERXE.

After two and a half years, EXO is officially back. The legendary K-pop group drops their eighth full-length studio album REVERXE on January 19, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST across all major music platforms—marking their first group release since July 2023’s EXIST. Here’s everything you need to know about one of the most anticipated K-pop comebacks of 2026.

The Album: REVERXE

REVERXE—a stylized play on the word “reverse”—contains nine tracks spanning multiple genres. The title track “Crown” is a hard dance song that boldly breaks genre boundaries, blending Atlanta trap drums, heavy metal guitar, and EDM synthesizers. Siren sound effects and the members’ powerful vocals build dramatic tension throughout the track.

Lyrically, “Crown” compares a cherished person to a crown that everyone desires, expressing determination to protect them at all costs. The message reflects both the confidence and earnestness of EXO’s long-awaited return.

Beyond the title track, the album includes “I’m Home,” a winter-themed ballad that EXO pre-released on December 14, 2025. The group also premiered “Back It Up”—a performance-oriented dance track driven by bold synth brass sounds, heavy 808 bass, and unpredictable beat switches—at the 2025 Melon Music Awards on December 20. The song conveys a message of overcoming prolonged darkness and proving oneself at the highest point, featuring choreography with 40 dancers during its MMA debut.

Other confirmed tracks include “Moonlight Shadows,” “Crazy,” and “Suffocate,” though details about these songs remain under wraps ahead of the album’s release.

## The Lineup: Six Members

REVERXE features a six-member lineup: Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay. Notably, this marks Lay’s first major group release since 2018, as the Chinese member has spent recent years primarily working in China. His return represents a significant moment for fans who have long awaited his participation in Korean group activities.

However, the comeback proceeds without Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin—collectively known as EXO-CBX—who are absent due to an ongoing legal dispute with SM Entertainment over revenue sharing and contract transparency. SM Entertainment cited a “breakdown of trust” in excluding the trio from the project, though the full details of the dispute remain complex and ongoing.

Despite the lineup changes, the six participating members have made clear their commitment to delivering a powerful comeback. At their December 14 fan meeting “EXO’verse” at Inspire Arena, the group told fans: “We will continue to return to you with even better versions of ourselves. We’ll work hard to fill 2026 with EXO.”

## The Comeback Showcase

On January 19 at 7:30 p.m. KST, EXO will hold a comeback showcase at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. The showcase will mark the group’s first in-person comeback celebration with fans in over two years, with members performing tracks from REVERXE for the first time and sharing behind-the-scenes stories about the album’s creation.

## The Promotional Campaign

SM Entertainment has executed an extensive promotional rollout for *REVERXE*, beginning with a cinematic trailer released December 8, 2025. The trailer depicted members drawn back to the “Tree of Life”—a recurring motif in EXO’s original universe storyline.

The campaign included guerrilla marketing tactics throughout Seoul, with individuals in black cloaks branded with the album logo appearing in districts like Gangnam, Seongsu, and Hongdae. Business cards featuring encrypted codes were distributed near key locations, while an interactive “mystery quiz” on social media integrated fan participation.

Multiple teaser image sets have been released, including “Cube,” “Reverse,” and “Crown” concepts, showcasing the group’s evolved visual aesthetic.

## The Pop-Up Experience

To celebrate the album release, SM Entertainment will open “REVERXE THE WORLD,” a special pop-up store running January 20-27 at The Hyundai Seoul. The installation features a maze-like layout themed after EXO’s “Exo Universe” concept, with a “Cube” installation visualizing the members’ fictional supernatural powers.

The venue includes album displays, “Crown” music video props, interactive zones for creating stickers and photo cards, and exclusive merchandise. The first session each day is reserved for official EXO-L fan club members.

## What This Comeback Means

EXO’s return comes at a pivotal moment in K-pop. As one of the genre’s foundational groups—often credited alongside BTS for bringing K-pop to global mainstream consciousness in the 2010s—EXO’s comeback serves as a reminder of second-generation K-pop’s enduring influence. Their seventh album *EXIST* became their seventh consecutive million-selling album, proving their commercial staying power despite years of military enlistments and individual activities.

The group’s MMA 2025 performance, which included not only “Back It Up” but also iconic hits like “Monster,” “The Eve,” “Love Shot,” and “Growl,” sparked massive singalongs from both fans and junior artists in attendance—demonstrating EXO’s cross-generational impact on the industry.

Physical album pre-orders are currently available at various online and offline music retailers globally, with multiple versions available for collectors.

Token Unlock Wave Highlights Supply Overhang for Traders

The post Token Unlock Wave Highlights Supply Overhang for Traders appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Altcoins 20 September 2025 | 04:17 Crypto traders are facing a steady drip of new supply this month, as project teams and early backers release fresh tokens into circulation. What looks like small percentages on paper is building into meaningful selling pressure across multiple ecosystems. Unlocks Becoming a Market Theme According to an analytics tracker, the past week alone saw millions of dollars’ worth of new coins enter the market from projects such as AltLayer, Blast, Avail, Venom, and Parti. AltLayer added roughly $3.5 million in tokens, while Blast introduced more than $2.3 million. In both cases, the amount represented less than 3% of circulating supply — yet the inflows still weighed heavily on trading sentiment. More Supply Ahead The trend is far from over. Another round of unlocks is scheduled for the week of September 22–28, with AltLayer once again leading the pack. By the time its next batch goes live, over 42% of its total supply will have been released. Other names, including KARRAT, XMW, and Yield Guild Games (YGG), will also add to the flow with their own token distributions. Unlocks matter because they create a constant overhang. Even if each release looks minor, stacked together week after week, they erode the balance between supply and demand. AltLayer’s back-to-back schedule makes this clear: the market isn’t just dealing with isolated events but with a pipeline of tokens waiting to be sold. Bigger Picture For traders, that means strategy has to adjust. Pricing these unlocks into positions becomes just as important as monitoring macro conditions or ETF inflows. While unlocks don’t guarantee downward pressure, the compounding effect is already a defining feature of September’s market — one that could shape trading dynamics well into the fourth quarter.
