MONTRÉAL, Jan. 19, 2026 /CNW/ – The 16^th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day is on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

What: Bell Let’s Talk Day is Canada’s national day for conversation about mental health awareness. This year’s theme is taking a moment for mental health. Canadians are encouraged to prioritize mental health and give mental health the moment it deserves. From breathing exercises, spending time in nature, digital detoxing or expressing gratitude, taking a moment for mental health can help build resilience, reduce stress and anxiety, foster social connection, improve mood and much more.

How: Bell Let’s Talk Day is an opportunity for everyone to pause and:

• Take a moment to check in with yourself and practice self-care.
• Reach out to those around you, caring for the mental health of others.
• Recognize and celebrate the vital role mental health plays in our communities in different ways, through conversations, learning, and listening.
• Bell Let’s Talk offers an online toolkit with resources created by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and Kids Help Phone, designed to help people create meaningful moments that support mental well-being. Content includes a mental health conversation guide, classroom resources, self-care activities, and much more.

Interview opportunities: Interviews available with Bell Let’s Talk Chair Mary Deacon, along with mental health experts and advocates, and community partners from across Canada.

How to participate: From workshops and drop-ins, to sporting activities, flag raisings, local events and more – Bell Let’s Talk invites everyone to take a moment for mental health. A few highlights include:

• Phone installations at Carrefour Laval in Montréal, Toronto Eaton Centre, CF Pacific Centre in Vancouver, CF Chinook Centre in Calgary, West Edmonton Mall and CF Rideau Centre in Ottawa that will invite people passing by to pick up the receiver for a guided breathing exercise
• A pop-up Morning Tropical Rave at a local bakery hosted by Canadian Mental Health Association Yukon Division
• Dog therapy sessions with St. John Ambulance taking place at Dartmouth Senior Services Centre in Nova Scotia and PEI; and Winnipeg Humane Society will host sessions at Riverview Health Centre
• Crave has a dedicated Mental Health Awareness Collection highlighting titles that explore common themes related to mental health
• Medicine for the Mind: Soup, Bannock & Stories at the Elders’ Lodge hosted by Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary
• A pop-up outdoor concert at 4 pm ET in the parking lot at Bell Media Studios (299 Queen Street West) in Toronto, featuring Canadian musical artist Jamie Fine, delivered by Universal Music
• Regional events across the country hosted by mental health organizations such as Aire ouverte, Anchor, CMHA, Jeunes en tête, National Association of Friendship Centres, YWHO and more

Bell previously announced a $10 million commitment toward Canadian mental health in 2026, bringing its total investment to $194 million since Bell Let’s Talk launched in 2010
