GOP lawmakers admit they haven't seen Pretti shooting video: 'Hard to believe'

Appearing on MS NOW Tuesday to discuss blocking ICE funding after the shooting of 37-year-olds Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis, Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) told the dumbfounded hosts of “Morning Joe” that some of her Republican Senate colleagues have admitted they have not seen the multiple Pretti videos.

With host Joe Scarborough noting that over 10 GOP senators have already gone on the record calling for an investigation of the Saturday killing and the Department of Homeland Security, he asked the Illinois Democrat what she is hearing from her Republican colleagues.

“You know, from a very few of them, I've heard some disgust, but they are very much tentative,” she admitted. “They are scared of retribution from the White House; many of them have seen their colleagues see retribution, and they're very much afraid of that. But you know, what I say to them is, you're supposed to love this country first. You're supposed to love our Constitution first. We're supposed to be defending our Constitution, not whoever is sitting in the White House.”

“And ICE needs to be reined in,” she insisted. “And I think they're finally seeing that.”

“But I've got to be honest with you, when I talked to a few of my colleagues, they had not even seen the videos. It's almost like they put blinders on. They're uneasy, they haven't even seen the videos. The Democrats, we've all watched every single video from every single angle,” she added.

“Yeah, that is hard to believe,” Scarborough replied.
