President Donald Trump proclaimed on his Truth Social platform Wednesday night that he is giving top priority to resolving the kidnapping case of the mother of "Today" show co-host Savannah Guthrie.
"I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY," wrote President Donald Trump. "We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely."
"The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY!" the president added.
Nancy Guthrie went missing under mysterious circumstances, prompting an investigation by local homicide investigators, who say that a "crime scene" was discovered at her home in Pima County, Arizona. Authorities have said she appeared to have been "abducted," and multiple news outlets, including TMZ, said they received unverified ransom letters.
Savannah Guthrie delivered a tearful plea to her mother's kidnappers to prove she was still alive, saying in a video to Instagram, "We are ready to talk."
