Three suspects have been arrested in France in connection with two separate attempted robberies allegedly targeting the head of Binance’s French operations.

The incident began today in the Val-de-Marne region. Allegedly, three masked and armed individuals entered an apartment building and attempted to locate the apartment where a Binance France executive resides.

It was reported that the suspects initially entered the wrong apartment, then proceeded to what was believed to be their target. However, finding no one home, the attackers quickly fled the scene, stealing two cell phones before making their escape.

It is suspected that the same three individuals later traveled in the same vehicle to Vaucresson in the Hauts-de-Seine region, where they attempted a second house raid. In this incident, a woman was allegedly assaulted, and the attackers reportedly asked, “Is the address correct?”

Police teams used location data from the stolen phones and security camera footage to identify the vehicle used by the suspects. Following a pursuit, three suspects were apprehended and taken into custody in Lyon.

The incident has reignited concerns in France about the targeting of individuals connected to the crypto sector, and authorities are reportedly continuing their investigation.
