The blockchain landscape continues to experience a substantial rise in daily active users (DAU), with fierce competition among diverse entities. In this respect, World Mobile, a blockchain-powered telecom network, has unveiled a key push for the real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure scaling via its widening presence on Base.

World Mobile disclosed in its official X announcement that the development marks a key step toward comprehensive integration with the wider on-chain economy. So, the initiative signifies a strategic move to combine blockchain, tokenized infrastructure, and mobile connectivity into an inclusive digital economy.

World Mobile Fortifies Decentralized Telecom via Base

With World Mobile’s integration with Base, the platform is elevating its position in the decentralized telecom sector. Hence, with over 100,000 AirNodes backing more than 3M daily active consumers, the company claims to be the biggest RWA-centered deployment within the network. Specifically, the interaction between the high-throughput ecosystem and the settlement layer lets World Mobile improve scalability and lower transfer charges.

Apart from that, the development fills the gap between the tokenized telecom architecture, robust developer tooling, and on-chain liquidity. This ultimately enables wider participation from retail and institutional consumers. Additionally, the deployment unveils Network Builders NFTs to facilitate community-led wireless coverage expansion.

Infrastructure-Backed Tokens Place World Mobile as Pioneer in RWA Sector

The AirNode model of World Mobile efficiently transforms physical telecom hardware into yield-generating digital assets. This lets operators make earnings via the usage while broadening connectivity across underserved localities. The respective structure underscores a rising trend where RWAs link meaningful infrastructure with cutting-edge DeFi mechanisms.

Keeping this in view, while the decentralized telecom is making continuous progress, integrating settlement, tokenized infrastructure, and mobile access could revolutionize the operation of connectivity markets. Thus, World Mobile’s focus on real adoption and hardware deployment separates it from wholly virtual RWA projects. Overall, the model may play the role of a blueprint for the next-gen infrastructure economies on-chain.

UK FCA Plans to Waive Some Rules for Crypto Companies: FT

The post UK FCA Plans to Waive Some Rules for Crypto Companies: FT appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has plans to waive some of its rules for cryptocurrency companies, according to a Financial Times (FT) report on Wednesday. However, in another areas the FCA intends to tighten the rules where they pertain to industry-specific risks, such as cyber attacks. The financial watchdog wishes to adapt its existing rules for financial service companies to the unique nature of cryptoassets, the FT reported, citing a consultation paper published Wednesday. “You have to recognize that some of these things are very different,” David Geale, the FCA’s executive director for payments and digital finance, said in an interview, according to the report, adding that a “lift and drop” of existing traditional finance rules would not be effective with crypto. One such area that may be handled differently is the stipulation that a firm “must conduct its business with integrity” and “pay due regard to the interest of its customers and treat them fairly.” Crypto companies would be given less strict requirements than banks or investment platforms on rules concerning senior managers, systems and controls, as cryptocurrency firms “do not typically pose the same level of systemic risk,” the FCA said. Firms would also not have to offer customers a cooling off period due to the voltatile nature of crypto prices, nor would technology be classed as an outsourcing arrangement requiring extra risk management. This is because blockchain technology is often permissionless, meaning anyone can participate without the input of an intermediary. Other areas of crypto regulation remain undecided. The FCA has plans to fully integrate cryptocurrency into its regulatory framework from 2026.
