The release of ‘Blood Seed,’ Book 2 of the Kutter Murder Mystery Series by Kay A. Oliver, coincides with February 17, the date notorious serial killer Ted Bundy was arrested. While the novel is not about Bundy, this deliberate timing aims to deepen engagement with its dark themes and psychological exploration of a killer whose crimes have been largely forgotten. The book centers on a serial killer who believes he was ‘planted by God in blood, born corrupted from the first breath of life,’ viewing his murders as acts of purification rather than choice.

In the story, a seasoned detective, facing a dead end in hunting this remorseless killer, breaks professional rules by turning to an unlikely ally: a mystery writer who understands criminal minds. Together, they devise a strategy based on psychological manipulation and a dangerous lie, venturing into the psyche of someone convinced of his innate evil. Oliver notes that the novel challenges readers to confront ‘the terrifying power of belief,’ asking what happens when justice demands crossing moral lines.

The Kutter Murder Mystery Series began with Book 1, ‘Fear-Struck,’ which won three literary awards and established the series as a standout in psychological suspense. Early feedback highlights its impact, with one reader commenting, ‘I can’t wait. I loved Fear-Struck (book 1),’ while another admitted, ‘I am so excited for this book, but I can’t read your books! I would have nightmares!’ ‘Blood Seed’ builds on this foundation, delving into themes of guilt, manipulation, and the blurred boundaries between good and evil.

To celebrate the launch, ‘Blood Seed’ is available at a special promotional price for a limited time, targeting fans of intense psychological thrillers and morally complex characters. The book can be purchased here, though the promotional period is brief. Oliver’s broader work and writing resources are accessible at KayAOliver.com, where readers can explore her award-winning stories. With over three decades in Hollywood, Oliver brings cinematic insight to her writing, earning accolades such as Fiction Author of the Year 2025 by the International Association of Top Professionals.

The novel’s release underscores the enduring fascination with psychological thrillers that probe human darkness, offering a narrative that ‘refuses to let go’ as it examines how belief can justify horror. By setting the story against a backdrop of true crime history, Oliver invites reflection on how society grapples with evil, both fictional and real, making ‘Blood Seed’ a timely addition to the genre.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
