PANews reported on February 17 that, according to CCTV, during the second round of Iran-US negotiations that concluded on the 17th, the two sides reached an agreement on some general issues. After the negotiating delegations reported and consulted with their respective governments, the two sides will continue to discuss the details.
On June 6, representatives from Iran and the United States held indirect talks in Muscat, the capital of Oman, and reached a consensus on continuing negotiations. However, serious differences remain between the two sides on core issues. The second round of indirect talks between the United States and Iran began on June 17 in Geneva, Switzerland, at the Omani diplomatic mission in Geneva.
