TLDR

  • TRON DAO integrates TRC20 USDT into NEXUS CROSS Pay platform
  • CROSS Pay applies 0% platform fee on USDT payments
  • TRON network processes about 2 million transactions daily
  • TRC20 USDT transfer fees range from $0.0005 to $0.001

TRON DAO has integrated TRC-20 USDT payments into the NEXUS CROSS Pay gaming platform. The service is now live, and users can buy in-game items through CROSS Shop using USDT on the TRON network.

The integration allows global users to settle transactions in TRC-20 USDT. CROSS Pay applies a 0% transaction fee at the platform level, while standard TRON network fees still apply.

TRON DAO Integrates TRC-20 USDT Into CROSS Pay

TRON DAO confirmed the addition of TRC-20 USDT to the CROSS Pay infrastructure operated by NEXUS. The update allows users to complete in-game purchases with stablecoin payments settled on-chain.

CROSS Pay functions as the payment layer within the NEXUS gaming ecosystem. With this integration, users can use USDT issued under the TRC-20 token standard for digital item purchases.

The companies stated that the service is active and operational. They also confirmed that the 0% fee model applies only at the CROSS Pay platform layer.

Users still pay standard blockchain transaction fees charged by the TRON network. These fees apply when transferring USDT between wallets and platforms.

Technical Framework and Network Data

The TRON network processes about 2 million transactions per day. It also accounts for a large share of global USDT circulation.

As of February 2026, global USDT circulation exceeded $85 billion. A notable portion of this supply operates on the TRON blockchain.

TRC-20 transfer fees usually range from $0.0005 to $0.001 per transaction. Payments are generally completed within seconds, depending on network conditions.

TRON has recorded over 364 million user accounts since its mainnet launch in May 2018. The blockchain has processed more than 13 billion transactions to date.

The network uses a Delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. Under this model, 27 Super Representatives validate transactions and produce blocks.

CROSS Shop and Gaming Payment Use Case

CROSS Shop operates as a marketplace for game-related digital items within the NEXUS ecosystem. Players can purchase virtual goods using integrated payment methods supported by CROSS Pay.

With the addition of TRC-20 USDT, users gain access to stablecoin-based payments that operate across borders. This structure allows transactions without relying on traditional payment processors.

The global gaming industry recorded revenues above $180 billion in 2025. Digital in-game purchases continue to represent a growing share of that revenue.

Stablecoin payments are gaining use in digital commerce due to lower transaction costs and faster settlement times. In gaming environments, this can support real-time purchases and global participation.

Henry Chang, CEO of NEXUS, described the integration as a move from partnership discussions to operational deployment. He confirmed that the system is already functioning within the platform.

Operational Deployment and Market Context

The integration connects TRON DAO’s blockchain infrastructure with NEXUS’s gaming payment system. Transactions made through CROSS Pay are recorded on the TRON network when users transfer USDT.

The 0% fee structure at the platform layer applies to payment processing within CROSS Pay. However, blockchain network fees remain the responsibility of users.

This setup allows users worldwide to make purchases using TRC-20 USDT. It also aligns with broader adoption of stablecoins in digital marketplaces.

TRON DAO continues to expand use cases for TRC-20 USDT across different sectors. The NEXUS CROSS Pay integration marks another deployment of USDT within an active digital platform.

OFAC Designates Two Iranian Finance Facilitators For Crypto Shadow Banking

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned two Iranian financial facilitators for coordinating over $100 million worth of cryptocurrency in oil sales for the Iranian government, a September 16 press release shows. OFAC Sanctions Iranian Nationals According to the Tuesday press release, Iranian nationals Alireza Derakhshan and Arash Estaki Alivand “used a network of front companies in multiple foreign jurisdictions” to transfer the digital assets. OFAC alleges that Alivand and Derakhshan’s transfers also involved the sale of Iranian oil that benefited Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) and the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL). IRGC-QF and MODAFL then used the proceeds to support regional proxy terrorist organizations and strengthen their advanced weapons systems, including ballistic missiles. U.S. officials say the move targets shadow banking in the region, where illicit financial actors use overseas money laundering and digital assets to evade sanctions. “Iranian entities rely on shadow banking networks to evade sanctions and move millions through the international financial system,” said Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence John K. Hurley. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we will continue to disrupt these key financial streams that fund Iran’s weapons programs and malign activities in the Middle East and beyond,” he continued. Dozens Designated In Shadow Banking Scandal Both Alivand and Derakhshan have been designated “for having materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods or services to or in support of the IRGC-QF.” In addition to Alivand and Derakhshan, OFAC has sanctioned more than a dozen Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates-based entities and individuals tied to the network. According to the press release, the sanctioned entities may face civil or criminal penalties imposed as a result
