Mockler described the revelation as "absolutely sickening," noting that Trump is now "essentially currently the President of the Gaza Strip, even though he can't even manage the United States." He characterized the board as the "de facto ruler of the Gaza Strip." Mockler pointed out that Trump's previous peace deal between Israel and Gaza collapsed within a day, with Hamas continuing violence and Israel pursuing strikes, starvation tactics, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, all while conducting illegal settlements in the West Bank.
