According to the latest data shared by Santiment, Chainlink, Internet Computer (ICP), and NEAR Protocol are leading the crypto sector in AI and Big Data development activity over the past 30 days.
The ranking is based on notable GitHub events tracked via Santiment’s development metrics, with directional indicators showing changes in positioning since the previous update.
The current top 10 projects are:
Chainlink maintains the top spot, followed by ICP and NEAR, both showing upward momentum in ranking. Several projects, including Livepeer, The Graph, Bittensor, Qubic, and Injective, also improved their positions in the latest update.
Filecoin was the only project in the top five to show a decline in relative ranking compared to the prior report.
Development activity is often viewed as a proxy for ecosystem health and long-term commitment. High GitHub activity can indicate ongoing improvements, feature releases, bug fixes, and protocol upgrades.
In the AI and Big Data segment, consistent development is particularly important as projects compete to integrate machine learning, decentralized data infrastructure, and high-performance computing into blockchain environments.
The data highlights how competitive the AI-focused crypto landscape has become. Established infrastructure projects such as Chainlink and The Graph are competing alongside AI-native protocols like Bittensor and Qubic.
As institutional and retail interest in AI-related tokens remains elevated, sustained development activity could play a critical role in determining which ecosystems maintain long-term relevance.
For now, Chainlink, ICP, and NEAR stand out as the most actively developed AI and Big Data projects in the crypto space over the past month.
