Child development center opens in Sarangani

ALSONS Power Group, through the Sarangani Energy Corp. and Siguil Hydro Power Corp., turned over its first Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Center, which is expected to benefit more than 50 children in Sarangani.

In a statement on Monday, the company said the 48-square-meter ECCD Center was built in partnership with the local government of Maasim and Barangay Amsipit, over a patch of land donated by the Mad family. The facility will benefit children from Sitio Tahakayo and nearby areas, Sitio Lebe, Makmal, Kabkal, and Titip.

The project forms part of Alsons Power’s commitment to advancing community development through education, particularly in early childhood.

Additionally, the company, through the Conrado and Ladislawa Alcantara Foundation, Inc., will provide capacity-building training for ECCD teachers and volunteers. — CAT
