PANews reported on February 24th that, according to The Block, prediction market platform Kalshi has removed associated badges from all its X platform accounts. This move stems from X platform's updated rules last week regarding paid partnerships and promotional content, which aim to limit paid affiliate marketing related to gambling and sports betting content and strengthen oversight of the disclosure of such content.
Kalshi's affiliated accounts previously used badges to indicate their formal partnership with the platform, typically involving revenue-sharing arrangements. Multiple affiliated accounts confirmed that the badges have been removed, and some accounts are now showing "under review." Nikita Bier, X's product manager, warned accounts that they must disclose their paid promotional relationship with Kalshi, or face account suspension. He stated that X must guard against content that "distorts or mixes in" public discussion, as undisclosed business relationships will damage users' trust in genuine opinions.
