Crypto asset manager Bitwise has acquired staking services company Chorus One, which holds over $2.2 billion in staked assets. This strategic deal will significantly expand Bitwise’s crypto staking products, and 50 Chorus One employees will join Bitwise Onchain Solutions. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley emphasized that staking is one of the most attractive growth opportunities for customers. The deal will enable Bitwise to strengthen its staking capabilities across more than 30 proof-of-stake chains, including Solana, Hyperliquid, Monad, Avalanche, Sui, Aptos, and Tezos. Chorus One has been providing staking services to financial firms since 2018; its CEO Brian Crain will transition to an advisory role.
Bitwise manages over $15 billion in assets with 200 employees worldwide. Its main products include the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) featuring detailed SOL analysis, Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW), Bitwise XRP ETF (XRP), Bitwise Chainlink ETF (CLNK), and Bitwise Dogecoin ETF (BWOW).
