One of the stars of the U.S. Olympic men's hockey team clapped back at the Trump White House on Thursday after it released a "clearly fake" video with his likeness.

Brady Tkachuk, captain of the Ottawa Senators, told ESPN on Thursday that he "didn't appreciate" the White House sharing an AI-generated video of him from the 4 Nations Face Off last year, where the U.S. and Canadian men's teams fought three times within the first nine seconds of the game. In the doctored video from Thursday, Tkachuk was made to say, "They booed our national anthem, so I had to come out and teach those maple syrup eating f---- a lesson" while "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd played in the background, ESPN reported.

"Well, it's clearly fake, because it's not my voice, not my lips moving," Tkachuk told ESPN during a media availability in Ottawa. "I'm not in control of any of those accounts. I know that those words would never come out of my mouth. So, I can't do anything about it."

This is not the first time that the Trump White House has created controversy using an AI-generated video. Last year, Trump posted an AI video on Truth Social showing him flying a fighter jet that dropped poop on people attending the "No Kings" protests.
