PANews reported on February 27th that Gate.com officially launched a PIX cryptocurrency purchase channel for Brazilian users, supporting cryptocurrency purchases through PIX, an instant payment system directly developed and operated by the Central Bank of Brazil. This channel features zero transaction fees, real-time settlement, and competitive exchange rates. Users can directly use the balance in their bank account linked to their CPF account to complete payments; fund transfers and currency exchanges can be completed within minutes.

Public data shows that PIX, since its launch in 2020, has become a mainstream payment infrastructure in Brazil, covering over 160 million users. Gate's integration of PIX aims to optimize the local fiat currency deposit process, reduce traditional payment costs and time barriers, and improve transaction traceability and compliance. With the growing demand for digital assets in the Latin American market, the improvement of localized payment channels will become a crucial factor in platform competition. Over the past week, the trading volume of Gate Brazil's PIX buy channel has shown a continuous upward trend, reaching a recent high, with a more than 40% increase compared to the beginning of the month. Gate will continue to combine the characteristics of payment infrastructure in various regions to gradually improve its global localized service system.
