Alchemy Launches USDC System on Base for AI Agents

Blockchain infrastructure company Alchemy has launched a system that allows autonomous AI agents to purchase compute credits using USDC and onchain wallets on Base and access blockchain data services. With the initial version, agents can directly query blockchain networks, check NFT ownership, view wallet balances across multiple chains, and access live token price data. When credits run out, Alchemy sends a request via Base for automatic USDC payment, and agents continue processing without human intervention. Accounts can be funded with at least 1 USDC. The system uses Coinbase’s x402 payment standard to convert HTTP 402 responses into automatic billing.

How Does Alchemy’s Autonomous AI Agent System Work?

Alchemy CEO Nikil Viswanathan stated that the system is designed for autonomous DeFi agents, portfolio management bots, and multi-step onchain workflows. Thanks to the x402 standard, agents encounter an HTTP 402 error when credits end and renew access by transferring USDC on Base. This provides a completely gasless and permissionless structure, accelerating developers’ AI integrations.

Giants Like Aave, Uniswap, and 0x Are Using Alchemy Infrastructure

Large crypto applications like Robinhood Crypto, Uniswap detailed analysis, OpenSea, AAVE detailed analysis, and 0x are already using Alchemy infrastructure. This integration opens the door for AI agents to automate lending transactions on the Aave protocol.

As interest in AI agents grows in the market, Coinbase introduced “Agentic Wallets”, AI.com announced its autonomous agent, and the Monad hackathon rewarded agent-focused projects. These developments make Alchemy’s system even more critical. AAVE is currently trading at $112.29 (-1.86% 24h), in a downtrend with RSI 39.84. Supports:

  • S1: $105.39 (Strong, 73% score)
  • S2: $112.12 (Strong, 63% score)

Resistances:

  • R1: $136.26 (Strong, 74% score)
  • R2: $115.35 (Strong, 71% score)

Supertrend is bearish; if it cannot hold above EMA20 $120.32, S1 could be tested. Alchemy integration could be a positive catalyst for AAVE.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

The post BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BlackRock is steering $185 billion worth of model portfolios deeper into US stocks and artificial intelligence. The decision came this week as the asset manager adjusted its entire model suite, increasing its equity allocation and dumping exposure to international developed markets. The firm now sits 2% overweight on stocks, after money moved between several of its biggest exchange-traded funds. This wasn’t a slow shuffle. Billions flowed across multiple ETFs on Tuesday as BlackRock executed the realignment. The iShares S&P 100 ETF (OEF) alone brought in $3.4 billion, the largest single-day haul in its history. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected $2.3 billion, while the iShares US Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF (DYNF) added nearly $2 billion. The rebalancing triggered swift inflows and outflows that realigned investor exposure on the back of performance data and macroeconomic outlooks. BlackRock raises equities on strong US earnings The model updates come as BlackRock backs the rally in American stocks, fueled by strong earnings and optimism around rate cuts. In an investment letter obtained by Bloomberg, the firm said US companies have delivered 11% earnings growth since the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, earnings across other developed markets barely touched 2%. That gap helped push the decision to drop international holdings in favor of American ones. Michael Gates, lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Target Allocation ETF model portfolio suite, said the US market is the only one showing consistency in sales growth, profit delivery, and revisions in analyst forecasts. “The US equity market continues to stand alone in terms of earnings delivery, sales growth and sustainable trends in analyst estimates and revisions,” Michael wrote. He added that non-US developed markets lagged far behind, especially when it came to sales. This week’s changes reflect that position. The move was made ahead of the Federal…
