WHY THIS MATTERS: The significance of reaching the tenth year of this celebration extends beyond a simple recognition ceremony. It acts as a critical benchmark for the state of diversity and inclusion in the financial technology sector, especially within the context of increasing investor and regulatory scrutiny on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) mandates. When a sector is transforming the core of global finance—a process dependent on radical new perspectives—the lack of gender parity represents a systemic risk to the quality of financial innovation. The annual Powerlist is essential because it combats the persistent visibility gap for senior women, establishing a crucial pipeline of C-suite talent. By shining a decade-long spotlight on accomplished female leaders, the industry gains tangible examples proving that diverse leadership directly correlates with stronger governance, broader customer perspectives, and sustained commercial success. This isn’t charity; it’s a strategic necessity for market evolution

Innovate Finance is proud to announce the 10th annual edition of the Women in FinTech Powerlist 2025, marking a decade of celebrating the most influential and accomplished women in the UK’s FinTech and financial services sector.

This milestone year received over 600 applications from female leaders across the globe, reflecting the growing recognition of women’s contributions to financial innovation. The Powerlist recognises over 200 women across eight categories who have made significant contributions to FinTech’s many verticals and adjacent services.

An expert panel of independent judges has selected the final Powerlist and the Standout 45, those individuals who have made a lasting impact in FinTech, over and above their day-to-day role. Their work has been instrumental in furthering gender equality within the industry, and they have been pivotal catalysts for innovation throughout their careers.

Notable names on this year’s list include representatives from Allica Bank, Atom Bank, Coinbase, GoHenry, London Stock Exchange, Monzo, Revolut, Zilch, Zopa Bank, and many others.

To mark this 10th anniversary, Innovate Finance is also introducing the Hall of Fame, recognising 30 incredible women who have been featured on the Powerlist at least five times over the past decade, with over 1,700 women honored in the Powerlist since 2015. These leaders have consistently demonstrated excellence and commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in FinTech.

Janine Hirt, CEO of Innovate Finance, said: “Reaching our 10th Women in FinTech Powerlist is a moment to reflect on how far we as an industry have come and how much further we need to go. For a decade, Innovate Finance has been shining a light on the exceptional women who are building the future of financial services, not just through their professional achievements but through their dedication to creating opportunities for the next generation. With hundreds of applications this year, it’s clear that spotlighting female talent in FinTech isn’t just important, it’s essential. These women are proof that diversity drives innovation, and their leadership is transforming our industry for the better. Congratulations to everyone recognised this year, and to all who applied.”

This year’s initiative will culminate in a launch event on 12 March 2026, hosted by KPMG UK.

Innovate Finance extends its gratitude to the expert panel of independent judges for their commitment and rigorous evaluation in selecting this year’s Powerlist, and to this year’s sponsors: KPMG as Gold Sponsor, Zilch as Silver Sponsor, Funding Circle as Bronze Sponsor, and HSBC Innovation Banking as Official Banking Partner.

FF NEWS TAKE: The induction of a ‘Hall of Fame’ confirms that the annual listing has cemented its place as a core institution in UK fintech. While the powerlist itself doesn’t solve systemic underrepresentation, it significantly moves the needle by legitimizing the female talent pipeline. The key metric to monitor now is the conversion rate of these celebrated individuals into executive leadership positions over the next few years. True progress will be measured not just in lists, but in the measurable shift in boardroom composition across the financial services landscape.

Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For

The post Fed Decides On Interest Rates Today—Here’s What To Watch For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Topline The Federal Reserve on Wednesday will conclude a two-day policymaking meeting and release a decision on whether to lower interest rates—following months of pressure and criticism from President Donald Trump—and potentially signal whether additional cuts are on the way. President Donald Trump has urged the central bank to “CUT INTEREST RATES, NOW, AND BIGGER” than they might plan to. Getty Images Key Facts The central bank is poised to cut interest rates by at least a quarter-point, down from the 4.25% to 4.5% range where they have been held since December to between 4% and 4.25%, as Wall Street has placed 100% odds of a rate cut, according to CME’s FedWatch, with higher odds (94%) on a quarter-point cut than a half-point (6%) reduction. Fed governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, both Trump appointees, voted in July for a quarter-point reduction to rates, and they may dissent again in favor of a large cut alongside Stephen Miran, Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers’ chair, who was sworn in at the meeting’s start on Tuesday. It’s unclear whether other policymakers, including Kansas City Fed President Jeffrey Schmid and St. Louis Fed President Alberto Musalem, will favor larger cuts or opt for no reduction. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said in his Jackson Hole, Wyoming, address last month the central bank would likely consider a looser monetary policy, noting the “shifting balance of risks” on the U.S. economy “may warrant adjusting our policy stance.” David Mericle, an economist for Goldman Sachs, wrote in a note the “key question” for the Fed’s meeting is whether policymakers signal “this is likely the first in a series of consecutive cuts” as the central bank is anticipated to “acknowledge the softening in the labor market,” though they may not “nod to an October cut.” Mericle said he…
