Gate Ventures announces strategic investment in Utexo to drive the development of Bitcoin-native stablecoin infrastructure.

PANews reported on March 6 that Gate Ventures, the venture capital arm of cryptocurrency exchange Gate, officially announced a strategic investment in Utexo. Utexo is a Bitcoin-native settlement infrastructure that integrates the RGB protocol and the Lightning Network, enabling private, instant, and non-custodial stablecoin transactions on the Bitcoin network. It directly introduces stablecoin liquidity into the Bitcoin ecosystem and expands decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

This collaboration demonstrates Gate Ventures' continued support for infrastructure development aimed at strengthening Bitcoin's role in the digital financial system. By enabling native issuance, payments, and transactions of stablecoins on Bitcoin, Utexo can leverage Bitcoin's security while ensuring privacy and self-custody. Its architecture also provides the foundation for native Bitcoin financial applications, including decentralized exchanges, payment networks, and scalable settlement systems, offering easy access for developers, wallets, and financial institutions.
