THE Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) said it will collaborate with the Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LESP) to organize training sessions on IP valuation, which is expected to help businesses unlock the value of their intangible assets.
In a statement on Monday, the two groups announced their memorandum of agreement to organize the training programs and advanced learning courses on valuing IP assets.
The LESP will provide resource persons, technical experts and learning materials from the global network of the Licensing Executives Society International.
IP valuation is the process of identifying the economic value of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other such assets.
The agreement will be in effect for three years, IPOPHL said. — Beatriz Marie D. Cruz
