Truecaller, the popular caller identification and spam blocking app, has seen its paying subscribers cross 4 million across iOS and Android platforms. This was fueled by a 1 million addition during the last nine months of 2025.
According to Truecaller, the milestone reflects subscribers’ trust across its geographic regions and reflects continued growth across both iOS and Android platforms.
Reacting to the development, Fredrik Kjell, COO of Truecaller, noted that the growth across its platforms and markets is a testament to global demands for fraud prevention, identity services and trusted communication. He added that user subscription continues to play a key role in the company’s operational model.
“Reaching four million paying subscribers is an important milestone and highlights the strong value users see in our premium offering,” Kjell said in the report.
For most platforms, an increase in subscribers, especially premium users, directly translates to positive business earnings. And Truecaller is reaping from this simple equation.
In Truecaller’s report for the fourth quarter of 2025, consumer subscriptions represented 24% of its net sales. The company pointed out that a paying user generated approximately 40 times more revenue than a free user in 2025.
Kjell noted that the performance “highlights the strong long-term potential as we continue to increase the share of users choosing our premium services.”
On Truecaller, free users are separated from Premium users with no access to advanced security and privacy features. While free users can identify unknown callers and block spam, Premium users get an ad-free experience, see who views their profile, and receive enhanced protective tools.
The advanced spam blocking updates automatically and blocks top spammers and hidden numbers, while ghost call allows users to set up a fake incoming call to escape uncomfortable situations.
As of the fourth quarter of 2025, the platform’s average number of subscribers stood at 3.65 million, representing 38% growth from the prior period.

Truecaller’s 4 million paying subscribers were largely driven by Android users, which grew over 30% YoY to 2.6 million, while iOS subscribers grew more than 70% to 1.4 million.
However, there are some interesting facts behind the numbers.
While iOS users account for only 7% of Truecallers’ user base and one-third of the subscription base, they have a larger share of revenue. The company noted that iOS users account for nearly 50% of Premium revenue due to higher average revenue per user (ARPU).
Truecaller’s footprints are also widening, reflecting the growing adoption of its premium services. The company grew to 2 million subscribers in India, 1 million in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), and 1.1 million across the rest of the world.
